  • I thought I just wasnt mixing long enough. Thanks for the info lol. I made the shake.. I think I put too many icecubes. But it tasted better than what I had been doing! Also, I added frozed mixed berries (strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries). Next time, I'm picking out the black berries. They were HUGE and had huge…
  • I wish someone would have told me about eating healthy as a child. It would have saved me a lot of torment growing up. I also credit being overweight to making me shy throughout school, which made things even more difficult. You're doing the right thing. As someone else noted, make this about being healthy and active…
  • No wonder. I always just mix it in the glass because (in the kitchen) I am probably the laziest person you will ever meet. I HATE kitchen clean up, so I never use the blender or anything. This is also something I need to work on. Well, so far all I've had is one greenberry packet. And I must admit I'm not too awful hungry…
  • It's a bodybugg. It counts calories burned throughout the day, as you wear it all the time.
  • Hmm.. guess I'll be the ginuea pig for this group as far as the Shakeology cleanse! lol I'll be sure to report how it's going for the 3 days along with my workouts. Maybe it will help me get through it. I've been mixing my shakes with milk. I know that tastes better than water.. I'll have to get used to it starting…
  • Oh.. doesn't sound too bad either. I just like the Shakeology one bc it's only 3 days. I reckon I'm an oddball..I like the greenberry best. Chocolate has a strange taste. But I'm very picky about the regular chocolate I eat anyway. I HATE chocolate icecream, syrup, dark chocolate.. I only like milk and white chocolate.…
  • That's great! It's so nice to be able to see all the hard work paying off, isn't it? And.. 16 pounds is definitely something to be proud of! Anything is, especially when you consider how much work goes into losing even one pound, much less 16! Don't discount credit where it is due. You're doing a great job!!!
  • That's awesome! Congratulations on your 5K! I'm doing my first one in March.. I'm a little nervous! Great job - keep it up!
  • I was thinking about doing the Shakeology cleanse. I have quite a bit of it.. and I was looking at a few reviews of it - seems like it works pretty well for some folks. Hopefully it will do the same for me! I would do the Inferno one, but I don't want to have to buy extra things. I think I can manage buying some more…
  • Don't worry Sharon.. I'm not going anywhere as far as this group is concerned! Besides, the gym is only a 2-3 day a week thing...tops. I like the gym when going a few times a week with a friend, but it too can get a little boring doing the same machines over and over. I have to have constant change in my workouts.…
  • I can really see the difference - awesome work!
  • Thanks again everyone! Yall really do make me feel better! :flowerforyou: It just helps me to talk about these things that are bothering me and just get them out. I think my grandmother is doing a little better - so that's great news. I did the Plyometric Cardio Circuit today and burned 470 calories. Next time I do…
  • My weight is the same as last week. Ugh. I'm going to work my butt off to have a good weigh in next week though!
  • Thanks for your support everyone. It means a lot. Sam - I'm so happy you saw a number out of the 150s! You must be very excited! Sharon - hopefully your .1 gain will go away and take a few others with it, you're doing great! Fire 30 and Core 20 = 475 calories burned. I definitely want to keep up the thread. It's…
  • Pure Cardio - done. I burned 349 calories. I wasn't in it as much today. Could be because my home life has been crazy (to put it mildly) lately. We had to go to my boyfriend's uncle's funeral yesterday. We were gone for that alone for 12 hours, and when we got home I was more exhausted than I have been in a long time. So…
  • I did it! That class was a lot of fun. I burned 457 calories in 35 minutes. It was intervals - which I liked. I whooped butt! haha the only thing I didn't do well with was tricep push-ups. For some reason that's always been terribly hard for me. I can crank out 20 military push-ups when I'm fresh. But we did 30 or 45…
  • Sonia.. I hear you on trying to work out as soon as you wake up. I know this is crazy, but I have to get up about an hour before and let myself wake up some so that I can do the workouts with intensity. If I roll out of bed and work out, it's pitiful! I don't feel like I'm doing any good (probably because I'm not.. lol).…
  • If it works for you, then that's all that matters!
  • squats, lunges, dead lifts... walking or running up hills or on an incline, and I've found going backwards on the elliptical with a higher resistance really works that area.
  • I hope you get it fixed! I know it's terrible going without a HRM after you're used to it. Mine was a pain to get open. Maybe yours will be a little nicer.. good luck!
  • I just had this problem with mine, last week actually. I found out that my battery in the chest strap (transmitter) was dead. I replaced it and it's working just fine now. The only problem is that you have to take some Polars to the shop to get the batteries traded. And since you bought yours in May, it should still be…
  • Wow - week 3. I didn't do the scheduled workout... I did HIIT 30 and 20 instead.. 578 calories. BBB is Brazil Butt Lift, right? I was thinking about doing that program. Maybe once I get closer to my goal. But if people are getting great results with it, I'll definitely give it a go! I'm really hoping the scale will…
  • Sonia - a great place for looking at and comparing HRMs is Amazon.com. You may already know.. but if not it's a good place to start looking. Sam - sounds like you had a great run - both calorie and time wise! I did Fire 45 and burned 560 calories! I couldn't believe it. I knew I was sweating and working hard, but I've…
  • Screen Name: Blondie925 January 1st: 198.2 January 8th: 192.2 January 15th: 193.4 Difference: -4.8 pounds Goal weight by January 31, 2011: 188 Talk about discouraging. I worked SO hard this week and gained! Ugh. I blame water retention, because I know I had a pretty big calorie deficit. But I'm not gonna let it get me…
  • Since I took it easier yesterday, I didn't do TF today.. I did plyo cardio circuit. I saw last week I burned 387 for that workout.. and so my goal today was to beat it. And boy did I.. I burned 477! Almost 100 more! But I had more energy today.. probably from my easier workout yesterday. I'll be back on schedule Monday..…
  • That's good Sonia.. My cold kept me down a few days. It seems like everyone I know (on here and in person) has been sick recently! Do yall have p90x? I do, and I was thinking about starting it after we're done with this...(can you believe we're almost half way through?!?!) I got it for Christmas '09 and still haven't even…
  • I decided to work out today anyway. Burned 550 calories.. but it was kind of a rest day still. I did some walking, a little bit of strength and some stretching. I brought my total from Saturday-today to 5555 calories (yeah, I ended up doing that on purpose.. I had 5505 and had to burn another 50 just to make it look…
  • Great job, Sharon! Sam, you gotta believe you'll see a loss and you will! I know sometimes I don't burn many with TF workouts.. at times they just feel really repetitive and I can't get into it. Maybe you would do better doing some of the HIIT workouts on TF days and add a little running in also? Just a thought. I know…
  • Sam - this week it's mainly a challenge in another group to burn 3500. Then I saw how good I was doing and decided to see how far I could push it lol. And being snowed in didn't leave me with many options. It's definately not something I'll do regualrly. I usually don't have this much time on my hands! Hopefully you'll get…
  • I got a good 80 minute workout in this morning and burned 773 calories bringing this week's total to 5005! I feel it though. Tomorrow is a rest day for sure. Good luck to everyone for the weigh in and on the challenge!
