This. Same here. I don't have time to eat much during working hours and prefer to stuff my face at dinner anyway.

This is excellent information that has helped me tremendously. OP, read through this information. Please ask questions about it either here on the forums or at your doctor's office.

Morning workouts are my favorite. I get out of bed immediately after the alarm goes off, get dressed, and walk to the gym right away. By the time I totally wake up the workout is over. Basically, I am too sleepy to talk myself out of it.

OP - If you want honey (and have not been instructed to avoid it by a doctor), fit it into your caloric intake for the day. Eat the real thing.

Coming on here and posting about it is a good distraction :) You should pat yourself on the back for getting through that moment of cravings. Lots of people posted lists of things that they do when they are stressed out. What they have done is replaced unhealthy habits with healthy ones. You can do it too! It takes time.…

I'll skip the "OMG1200" reply since so many others have already said what I would. To answer your question... http://www.makeitmio.com/ - I use these in my water every day. The orange one tastes like Tang!

This is good advice, thank you :)

You're all welcome to add me. This journey is so much easier with a strong support system.

This is some really helpful advice. Thank you. My partner has hashimoto's. We are both making lifestyle changes to lose weight. The pounds are melting off of me while hers moves at a snail's pace. Exercise zaps her energy some days, others it's a boost. It's a total roller coaster and so very frustrating. After reading…

I agree that thyroid issues (any other health problem really) are not a free pass into Laziville. They are definitely a free pass into Adviceville, so long as the person asking is willing to listen and learn instead of whine and complain.

Thanks everyone! I'm diligent about logging so maybe a drink now and then won't be so bad. That's a relief. :)

Nope, no cheat days for me. I haven't given up any foods to lose weight. Instead, I reduced the portion sizes. On days when I want something especially sugary or fattening, I add in a solid workout or long hike to keep me at my calorie goal. Also, as a recovering binge eater, I find that cheat days are too reminiscent of…

No you don't. You just need to meet your daily goals (calories/fat/exercise, etc.). For me, it's more that I feel crummy if I wait more than a couple of hours after a morning workout. Kinda sleepy, stomach a little achey, overall blahhhh. I think in the past it may have driven me to binge as well. "Oh no! I didn't eat…

You are truly kind, and clearly the most delicious of cocktails :)

If you are looking for friends, add me. I am very active on my news feed and love to share this journey with others. Congrats for making your way to MFP, and good luck!

Great post! 1) 33 2) 5'11 3) 298 4) Elliptical, 30 minutes 5x per week plus 30 minute walks on non gym days 5) 1700-2000 (more on high activity days) 6) Take your time. Make changes that you can live with. You don't have to eliminate the things you love from your diet, just eat smaller portions! If you lovely ladies are…

Add me! I'm 25 lbs into a 100+ lb journey. I'm very active on my newsfeed and love reading other peoples posts and diaries for inspiration. My exercise and food diaries have lots of detail. The more friends, the better! We can do this :)

Three fresh baked cookies :)

Yep! Still under all of my goals for the day. I should qualify that this is the only unhealthy dessert that I will have this week. For the previous 6 days (and the next 6), fruits and nuts are my primary snacks. Thanks for the info! (sorry for the edits, still learning to use the forums)

Congrats! This is such an exciting milestone. Scream it from the rooftops! You are inspiration to the rest of us who are working to get there too :)

What a nightmare. Congrats for surviving it and taking control of your life! Are you seeing a therapist? Do you have a strong support system? It sounds like you've been focused on survival for quite a while. Getting out of fear mode and back into a lifestyle that feels safe is not a simple process. This is especially true…

You just went full RHPS on this thread. Beautiful. ...And now I want a hot dog. Anyone have a recipe for crock pot wieners?

It is a daily struggle. I have to be mindful of my tendency to put myself down. The truth is that I care about my stretch marks, and surgery scars, and jiggly parts FAR more than anyone else in my life. Some days it is hard to believe. The constant love of my friends and family is my proof that my value is not rooted in…
