I have a couple this week! - I look decidedly smaller in photos and in the camera when on a web conference - I wore a size 48 (18?) shirt that a couple of months ago was a handswidth from doing up - I gave a speech at a large fair, and it went well. I always feel like I will die from nerves beforehand and this was the…

I have only have one person say anything and I’m taking her with a grain of salt as she was on a sales call. I imagine other people notice but don’t comment (I’m down approx 25kg since last July, 176cm tall) and that’s fine by me - I see the difference in photos and certainly feel it every day. Someone did ask the other…

Way to take ownership of your day! Nothing mini about that goal if we’re talking about mindset :)

I’ve stopped using a bra extender, happily my current set still fits well in the cup which is a double win (saving money and all that jazz). I’m sure I’ll need to break out the extenders again in a month or two when I try to move down to my “nice” underwear drawer though 😂 Twice this week I left food on my plate from my…

I moved last fall and managed to break some habits with a change of scene. For example not buying candy/snacks in my new grocery store and eating at the Kitchen table instead of on the sofa.

Today I realised that since I’ve been moving in on the leather wristband on my watch perhaps my old watch with metal links would fit again. And it does! I also decided to try on a necklace that used to feel like it was choking me. I definitely have room to breathe now but as it’s a super dainty design I probably won’t wear…

I want to start C25K but would like to be less than 100kg when I do so. I’m currently focusing on walking trying to hit 10K steps per day, and I can tell me knees are still getting used to this so I don’t want to rush. I currently weigh 110kg and hope to reach my target and start running 1 May. On the way I will pass…

I realised I can use the chest strap on my backpack and it’s not even at its most expanded!

My brain was mush today and I was feeling quite sorry for myself for various reasons. However I had some wins: - I went for both a lunchtime and evening-commute walk which brings my steps to 10300 today. My average in 2019 was 4790per day, so far Jan avg is 7100/day. Goal is to have at least one month this year with a…

I can wear my watch one notch tighter. It’s now #3 from the end, and I finally have enough strap left over to tuck away! And I threw away a pair of underwear today since they just would not stay up.

I like to slice apples and then dust with cinnamon when I fancy more of a dessert. But truth be told I usually eat fruit plain, started to incorporate it by: 1) always having a fruit after lunch at the office from the provided fruit basket. Usually a pear since they’re my favourite and most other people seem to avoid them.…

Another colleague (actually my boss) said the other day that I looked like I lost weight. Although I felt a little awkward, I was able to use it to motivate myself a few times this week to stick to my plan. It’s finally warm where I live (20+ C) and I’ve been wearing a pair of breezy trousers (that I didn’t dare to try to…

Today I got back into wheel pose in yoga. I recently reestablished my yoga practice and it’s been a struggle, not least because I’m still 20kg heavier than when I left my practice a couple of years ago. I stared back in late February and this week is the first time I’ve gotten all the way up for 5 breaths, 2 Days in a row…

Someone noticed I lost weight! A colleague who I used to see every day but now only see every 3 weeks or so asked/said “but you work out a lot now, don’t you? It looks like you’ve dropped a few kilos”. I’m really happy that he mentioned it, and even more that it came really naturally from the conversation (we’d gotten on…

I weigh in on Sunday’s with the reasoning that if I’m upset by the number I don’t have to straight off to work etc but instead have a day to reflect and get over it. I started out that way and don’t see a reason to change it even though I’m in a Much better place mentally now.

I had pizza tonight and I only had 2/3 whereas before I would have had the whole. Saving the rest for dinner tomorrow.

Wore thin nude tights today. Size range marked as 44-52 EU. Fit like a dream, no issue getting them on or wearing them. When I started I wore size 54 trousers, and last year when I wore this dress I didn’t even try for tights because there was no chance.
-
The trousers I wear to work were still wet from last night’s laundry. I didn’t want to wear my jeans as they are too big to be tidy so I was a little concerned. I grabbed the next pair in my wardrobe and they fit like a dream! I mean I should have guessed, given that my size 54 work trousers are now relying on the third…

Good job! What a wonderful reward to feel so much better day to day :) We’re similar in weight I think, my all-time high was 140kg and I previously lost down to 88kg but got sidetracked (a couple of years ago). Back on the horse now and currently at 114kg (176 cm) with approx 40kg loss to go. Keep at it and feel free to…

To hit 108 kg (moving down to obese class 1), I’m currently at 114. I’m hoping I accomplish this in the next 5 weeks. My other mini goal is starting to take the stairs at work (5 floors) having exclusively used the stairs at home (4 floors) for the last month or so.
-
I work on the 5th floor. In the past when the lift was out of order I thought I was going to die climbing those stairs, today I only got slightly out of breath on the top of the last one. And I climbed those stairs voluntarily after going for a lunchtime walk. Guess my take-the-stairs goal will include the office from now…

I like the quorn-cheese schnitzel and have also cooked with the quorn mince and quorn pieces. They don’t have a lot of bite or texture in my opinion, Oumph is far nicer if you’re in the market for meat replacements. I would say I cook with quorn once every 3 months or so. I much prefer beans/lentils and to a lesser extent…

This morning my belt suddenly closed on the second hole instead of the first :) when I bought this belt a few weeks ago I held it up in the shop to measure and decided it was borderline but would just about close around the smallest part of my waist.

Today I wore my green winter coat with a cardigan underneath. The same coat where the sleeves didn’t fit over the cardigan this time last year, and that in November 2017 wouldn’t button without popping right up again, so I had to buy a new winter coat... hoping it will be too big to wear by November this year!

I tried 2 new vegetarian recipes which I was dubious towards, and I’m immensely enjoying both! Will try a third one before the week is over. The NSV is expanding my palate and finding more vegetables to enjoy!

Well I’ve had a blast reading all (!) of these, a great way to keep me on track for the last few weeks and start my day off right. I’m a returner as of January 2018, currently down 17kg of a target 65kg loss. I’ve had some good victories lately: - I had to buy a belt for my work trousers. I remember buying them in November…

I live in Sweden, so it’s pretty dark this time of year. My winter blues have gotten worse for the last 3 years (used to live further south) and this is the second year I’ve taken vitamin D (oct - April). I do believe the vitamins help and a few of my colleagues also swear by them. They’re not very expensive either. The…

I only weigh myself once a week, and I have an analogue scale so I can't obsess over grams. It's all about the long term downward trend :)
-
I cook my own popcorn, so it's helpful to know the calories of the amount of kernels I put into the pan :)

There is a nice wristwatch I'm eyeing... Maybe in another 5 kg...
