I have walked 3 5K's. Last year was my 1st and I was 15lbs heavier. I walked it in 52 mins. This year I walked 2 in about 48-50mins. Tuesday I did 2.8 miles walk/jog in 37minutes.

1 to 2 pounds a week is the safest. Slow and Steady. If you lose at a slow pace your more apt to keep it off long term.

Does the sportline have a chest strap?? If not I would just take the average of both. You could see what MFP comes up with and average all 3 of them together.

All of the above. Dropping the weights on the floor. The only weight dropping noise should be from deadlifts.

Get yourself a HRM w/ chest strap. The have decent ones for $100. Polar is the most popular brand here on MFP. I have bought 2 Polar FT 40's and both work great.

i eat back most of my exercise calories. I vary it up. One day 1,200 the next 1,500.

I like to season it before I bake it. The longer you let it cook the better. A med-large size one cooks best for an hour. Man now i want to cook mine thats in the fridge waiting.

I have walked 2 5K's at around 48 mins each time. Today I walked 2.8 miles in 40 mins. I'm 154 pounds but loathe cardio so I say its good for me. Next weekend I'll be doing my 3rd 5K.

WOW to all of your food you ALL used to eat. I can't say I have ate anywhere close to the amounts put on here. I might have ate 4 slices of thin crust OR eat 2 regular slices. I generally eat 2 slices and 1 breadstick if that.

If I'm home alone I might have a Lean Pocket for lunch. It sucks cooking for one. I suggest making a piece of meat the night before and then put it on your own sandwich/wrap/bun. A fast salad that is pretty good canned turkey/chicken and spinach/lettuce/whichever you prefer. Then a serving of dressing.

I think Curves is great for women who are obese, older and don't want to workout in front of men. I went there for 5 years. I started 155 then down to 141 and back up to 172. On my upper body workouts I tend to burn 200-300. On legs its 300-400. I'm 5'2 1/2 155lbs just for a reference. My gf is 10lbs more and 5'6 and usually always 100 more cals burnt than me. <3 our HRM's. (Polar FT 40)

Try only having loss 14 lbs since the last week in Oct 2010. Granted I took 2 months off from diet/exercise and gained 3 lbs back. I'm finally back to where I was from my May/June break. Oh I forgot to add the computers there said I was burning 300's calories a work on a guess. Well I got my HRM and found out it was more like 150-200's calories. So my 1st 4 months here on MFP I was eating back too many exercise calories.

Word of advice make sure you wear your regular workout pants/shorts. For some reason I wore jeans and had major chaffing, ouch!! I'm going to wear my compression shorts under whatever pants/jeans I wear.

I did my 1st 5K Walk last year and it took ~45-50 minutes. I'm doing my 2nd in 10 days. I walk at about a 3.0-3.5 mph walk. I did a practice walk a month ago and it took me an hour but thats on a treadmill.

From last Oct to May (30 weeks) and down 14lbs. If my math is right thats .46 lbs a month. My biggest drop was Feb where I loss 6lbs just by changing gym. Took a 2 month break and gained ~3lbs. I have been logging 70 days and back down to where I was in May.

I use my Polar HRM to account for my calories burnt during weights. Working the legs always burn more b/c they are bigger muscles.

I'm 5'2 to 5'3 and want to get down to 129 to start. I was 141 back in 2007 and thought my arms were too skinny. Healthy BMI for me is 104-141 so we will see what happens when I get closer.I'm 155 now.
