@ JoyfulToday - I hate those weeks where you did everything right but then the scale doesn't budge, or goes up. But honestly, my weight can fluctuate by 5 pounds day to day. And, I think if you are working out more than usual your muscles retain some water, in addition to getting bigger. I bet you'll see the results of…

Nice work both of you!!!

Amen!

Ha ha I forgot my reward! I'll try to find a Groupon for a manicure/pedicure combo next weekend.

Eating goal - no gluten + no food with added sugar Fitness goal - run with my dog three mornings + gym three times Wellness goal - make time to read my novel at least twice

Busy weekend! My week went well overall. I did go to the gym three times plus I did the one yoga class, and *I think* I ate gluten free. I definitely had a bad night on Friday - too much wine and too many snacks. But, I got back on track for the rest of the weekend which is great! I made enough time to read that I finally…

I think not weighing yourself for the 60 days is an awesome idea - I bet you'll be thrilled with the result at the end! Also, there are so many other ways of measuring progress - like how long, hard and fast you can run. Awesome!

I did the Whole30 in January (no dairy, no gluten, no added sugar, among other things) - I couldn't believe how much better I felt, physically and mentally. I never felt deprived, but I lost around 5-10 pounds. It's hard to stick to - I love cheese and bread - but the results are nothing short of miraculous if you can.…

Welcome to day 4 of the challenge! For those of us who are re-committing to this, these are both the easiest and hardest days, I find. I see that some people are here, though, because they are ALREADY on a whole fitness-healthy eating-wellness kick, and they just want to continue - good for you! You guys can inspire us to…

Welcome!

Fitness: go to the gym three times this week + 1 yoga class Healthy eating: no gluten this week (I love all things bread - but I've been conveniently ignoring some allergy testing I did a year ago for long enough!) Wellness: make some time for reading a novel three times this week Reward: pedicure

Done! I'm doing the 30-Day Shred videos and those exercises are part of it. Score! As for the new food, I started cooking with fresh ginger this week, which has been great. I'd tried it before, but never put it in stuff myself. Have a good week everyone :)

So far, so good! Made it to the gym the last couple of days but took it really easy. I'm making a lot of changes to my diet right now so I don't want to stress my system out by trying to do a lot of intensive exercise on top of that. That is definitely my goal this year - not to overdo it on both diet and exercise, and go…

Hi ladies! I'm also really happy to be here, and happy new year to everyone. I recently finished my PhD, which is a great feeling. But, because of that health and wellness have kind of fallen by the wayside over the past one - or maybe even two - years! I always said that the year after I finished school would be "my…

Haven't been here for a few days but today was pretty good - B - small serving of eggs, potatoes, bacon (I'm kind of transitioning to a more "paleo"-style diet, so trying out eating some red meat) L - salmon, apple, avocado salad S - tea with honey, americano with milk D - salmon sushi roll, yam sushi roll

I have to admit that I cheated yesterday night...came home to a pizza my boyfriend had ordered and just could not resist! The good news is I got right back on track today, and hit my goal of burning 3500 calories at the gym. I have a holiday party tonight but am determined to keep in mind that I already had a treat this…

I didn't check in yesterday but it was a pretty good day...I'm slowly getting rid of the "bad" (i.e. packaged, processed) stuff that is in my fridge and replacing it with more whole foods, healthy fats and lean proteins. Eventually I'd like to try giving my body a rest from dairy and gluten but I want to move into that…

So far I've been good (I think!)... Greek yogurt and berries for breakfast (I'm not planning to completely cut dairy but will try to stick to the healthier forms of dairy) Japanese for lunch - mixed sashimi, gomae (spinach in sesame sauce), and a vegetable roll leftovers from lunch for a snack ...but I am totally one of…

I had a smoothie with greek yogurt and frozen berries. Packed my stuff for a spin class tonight!

I sooooo need this - and the support. I've been saying "I'll start tomorrow" for basically the entire fall. But really, let's start tomorrow!

Oh okay, I'll try that! Thanks! E

Hi Cabin 3, I hope that you all are doing great. I have had a slow start to the competition, but am slowly getting back into a groove after handing in my thesis! I went to our spread sheet but couldn't edit it. Here is what I have done this week: Sunday - Family day - had dinner with my parents! Monday - Pay it Back day -…

Hi Cabin 3! I've been moved into your cabin because most of the other campers in mine dropped out. My name is Elma and I am hoping to lose some weight for the summer (probably about 15-20 pounds, but we'll see). I live in Canada, and am just finishing up school (that is why I have let things go a bit!). Good luck to…

Hi everyone, My SW is 145. Have a great day! Elma

Hi everyone, I'm Elma. I'm just finishing up my PhD and need to get motivated to be healthy again. This looks like it will be a lot of fun! Oh, and I'm from Canada.
-
Thanks! Yeah, I feel like that is the rate my body is losing at anyways. You're doing awesome! 40 pounds is amazing.
-
I'm in! Definitely want to re-commit after the holiday weekend!

Wow good job you guys. After steadily losing a pound a week, I seem to have backtracked a bit. It was my birthday over the weekend so it's not hard to figure out how I got off track. I have a question (or three): for those of you who are getting close to your goal weight (i.e. 10-15 pounds away) do you have any tips for…

Hi, SW: 140 W1:139 W2:138 W3:137 W4:136 Hmmmm is there a pattern here? Happy to be steadily losing, but I'm going on a mini vacation for Easter, so I would love to step up the pace a bit and lose 4 more pounds by our target date. I've been eating all of my exercise calories back over the last couple of weeks, but ideally I…

I didn't lose anything this week. Have been really inconsistent with my eating, but still keeping up the workouts. Hoping to recommit this week. I'll be happy if I see 135 by the end of the challenge (1 pound per week, maybe a bit more - my scale is jumping all over the place!). Good job everyone!
