Preach it, sister friend!

Alcohol. Hands down. I can say no to brownies and cake but man...especially in the winter, coming home, having a glass of wine as I make dinner? That's heaven. I've recently started only drinking on weekends (although I might have a glass tonight since it's Valentines day).

I find that tiny little changes are the easiest. Find something you can do every day. Like log in to here. Don't have to put in your food just yet, don't have to log anything. Just...check in. Then start logging food. Start thinking about ways to cut calories. Gradually it will come together.

From one chubby old mom who loves puns to a chubby old dad, I'm in.

I'm a huge fan of Zumba World Party for Xbox One. : )

I've had a Jawbone, a Fitbit HR Charge, a Fitbit Alta, and now a Fitbit Charge 2 lol. I am not a super athlete but I really like the data. I linked it with my MyFitnessPal account and I keep track of food but then I can see steps, heart rate, etc. I had one without the heart rate monitor for a while but I realized I really…

I made a big veggie crustless quiche on Sunday and eat it for breakfast all week. Eggs/egg whites, pkg of frozen mixed vegetables, spices (typically an italian blend), salt and pepper, little bit of feta or whateva. Sometimes I'll put it on a 100 calorie bun if I'm eating on the run.

Hey I'm back too! Been a while, but I'm looking forward to being here again. : )

As far as I can tell, they don't make Dance Central for the Xbox One, just the 360. So I have never tried DC.
-
I think Dance Central is different from Just Dance....
-
This is really late after you posted, but I do the Zumba World Party. Love it.

My husband bought me an Xbone to get in shape after I had twins in 2013. I've lost 50 of the 60 lbs I gained while pregnant (still working on the last 10!). I did it by eating right and using MFP to track, and doing the Zumba World Party/some of the free stuff on Xbox. I don't find that Just Dance feels like a workout.…

Lots of reasons. Such as... I'm not back to anything close to my pre-pregnancy self. I keep seeing pictures that remind me I'm not as cute as I am in my head.
-
I don't want it to sound like I'm not working at this. For starters... I have been tracking calories here, been using my Jawbone, and exercising every day that I can, which has been 4-5 times a week for about 40 minutes of high-intensity. Plus, I walk with a baby strapped to my back for a half hour many evenings (21 lbs of…

I see your point but...your argument has no teeth. It's all bark, no bite. I'm going to brush you off.
-
I like biscuits better than doughnuts anyway. With honey. And butter. Or gravy. Now I'm hungry. ; )

I'd give it a couple of months before you try anything else. Your body will get used to it and you'll feel differently. I agree with whomever said to try taking it before you go to sleep. Make sure you're doing all the good nutrition/enough sleep/etc, too.
-
Have you eaten a lot of sodium lately? Possibly you have inflammation? I'm not good at math, but isn't 2.5 lbs/week a little bit fast? I thought 1 pound per week was generally accepted as the standard. *shrug* That's all I've got. Sounds really frustrating and I hope you can keep pressing forward on your path without…

So far, nobody has lectured me about anything and thank the lord for that - it wouldn't last with me. It's good to know others' are thinking about this topic, too, and knowing how you all deal with it - it's interesting reading your posts. Some people are logging everything every day, some are like me and feel sheepish…

I'm of several minds on this... 1. I agree that one or two dinners a month aren't bad in the overall scheme of things but if she's like..."Here, eat half this lasagna!" and you feel crummy after eating said lasagna...then that's worth noticing and maybe doing something about. 2. I'm from the south and we don't show up…

You are all right! I will log everything every day. Toot sweet! If you are my MFP buddy, and you see that notification that "Sparkhorse224 hasn't logged in for a week!" you have my permission to (GENTLY) nudge me. Nudges, not judges, people.

The calories don't count if I don't write them down. AND if I break the cupcake in half...all the calories fall out. Duh. lol You're right, you're right. : )
-
Yeah, I agree with these folks. You can't get what you need from the MFP community. We aren't diagnosticians and counselors. We can love you and support you, tell you what worked for us. But binge-eating goes way beyond the realm of our expertise.
-
But you still have germs on your hands and body... You can still spread - and contract - stuff by touching the equipment. It's not just about sweat, dude. It takes all of 10 seconds to wipe the handles off.
-
AMEN, sisterfriend.

OH. Where do I start??? - GROSS: The old ladies who go to the bathroom before their water aerobics class and then DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS before going into the pool. - The Sprinkler: This one guy who runs on the treadmill in the smallest amount of clothes possible (teeny running shorts and a tank top..which he tucks…

Every day. But I record my weight on Sunday. It helps me see natural fluctuations so I know what's "normal" for me.

I'm glad she mentioned Pregnitude. Here's my dealio: I just went to the gyno last week and she gave me some Pregnitude to try. I'm going to start today, actually. We haven't been trying for very long, and I don't have PCOS or anything (knock wood) so I hope it will be a good boost for me getting pregnant. My doctor just…

Add me if you like. I would like to get to know people a little better on here. My friends IRL don't have the same goals or schedule as I do so it's a bit difficult to talk sometimes with them. Here's a bit about me: - I do BodyPump (it's like a guided weight lifting class) 2 x week - Couch to 5K 3 x week - yoga/pilates 2…

I don't do all the things every night. When I say I have a ritual I mean, An hour before bed I begin to consciously wind down. No TV, dim the lights. A shower if I feel like it. Candle if I feel like it. Podcast if I feel like it. The important thing is to signal to your body that it's time to go to bed. And there's a ton…
