yes, I've read in my triathlon training book that if is above the neck so to speak, go ahead and exercise as tolerated, but below the neck, as in your lungs, rest up and get better! I would add that if you have a fever, just forget about exercise till you feel much better!

I always carry at least 2 pieces of fruit like an orange (or cutie), banana or apple in my bag. If you want to lose weight, you need to manage a caloric deficit. I would say keep your net calories at 1200-1400. If you burn 600 calories, then you can consume up to 2000 for example.

I agree with Lorin. You need to change up your exercise routine. Your body has gotten accustomed to what you are doing and has learned to be " efficient" at holding onto the body fat. Try some interval training and do some analysis of what you are eating and when. Good luck, I am working on the same thing!

just start with baby steps. the first week, cut out the rich sweets and just limit to small things and eat more sweet fruit. the next week cut out the fried foods and see how that goes. change to skim milk....etc. I am 42 and I too feel like I have tried to diet on and off my whole adult life. my wake up call is that my…
