I use the Garmin 705 and I find it pretty good but slightly generous, on your settings knock off a few pounds on the device and you will get more accurate numbers, Looking at the bpm can we assume that you are new to cycling and this was a hard ride for you? Not a good ride today, got hit by an old man on a roundabout who looked straight at me before pulling out and then fell off on the off road part of my ride nearly falling in the river and jarring my back, hopefully it will be better by tomorrow as I need to get a decent ride in as I usually do well over 200 miles a week…

Just enjoy the miles that you have done, I have been chasing a massive target this month and at times I have hated being on the bike until I realised that I was not enjoying it and thought to hell with it, I am now riding again because I enjoy riding and who cares about the target !!
