  • I think the miles it clocks up are pretty accurate, in fact they are slightly lower than my speedometer that I have fitted but I am a bit concerned about the calories even though they are lower than mfp are telling me

  • I try to keep busy to take my mind off it and drink plenty of water, I find that if I do 10 minutes on the exercise bike when I start to feel peckish I very often lose the urge to eat and even if I do eat at least the exercise has offset it a little
  • I have been diagnosed type 2 diabetic but more importantly I really want to look good in my mankini
  • I think there is a bit of truth there to be honest, it is difficult coming to terms with eating more than I feel I need to lose weight but there are days when I have to eat close to 5000 cals and that is hard work sometimes, cheers all for the tips though ;)

  • I normally try to avoid carb rich foods as they tend to make my sugar levels rise too much and make me feel ill,I try to eat extra lean beef and eggs as much as possible with plenty of salads as I am still trying to reduce my cholesterol levels too (Dr's orders)!
  • worth a look but things like Gatorade will send my sugar levels soaring, I just feel odd force feeding myself everyday but I really want to keep up with the cycling
  • After the advice yesterday I really made an effort to eat back my calories but to be honest it felt like I was force feeding myself in the end, would you say that I am better off cutting back on my cycling or just going under on my calories every day? Thanks for all the help so far xx
  • Thanks for the advice guys, yesterday I cycled 35 miles and did a small session on the exercise bike in the evening but I find it impossible to eat back that many calories, I just though being 5 10" and 18 stone I would have plenty of fat reserves to burn off !!
