There is a great running club and its free - called "Moms Run This Town" and you can find clubs in your area and valuable information on their website www.momsrunthistown.com.

Great job! Once I signed up for a 5k - I had to committ to running. So I ran my 1st one in January and have signed up for one a month through June. Good Luck!

This one is in Atlanta at Turner Field. There are a lot of 5K coming up. I am thinking of running the Color Run in March at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The Hot Chocolate is my first ever 5K and I will see if how I do but I would love to do one every other month. We will see how that works out.

Hello I am 45 yrs old and am training for my 1st - 5k this January. I am on week 3 of the "Couch to 5K" program. Being in your 40's just means you don't give a ++++ what people think, only what you think, wish I had mastered this in my 20's.

I used to get this all the time when I was an athlete in college. Here is my advice: before you start, stretch your legs/shins. You can raise yourself on your toes and back down. Also stand 1/2 way on a step and raise and lower your body, to stretch your calves. You will also need to ice your shins after you exercise. If…

I am doing this along with the "couch to 5K' workout. So I am hoping to complete both and not hunt down Jillian Michaels and hurt her - LOL.

My favorite part is the boxing section, because I picture hitting Julian - LOL.:smile: Quads are sore and I could only do 2 girl pushups but I got to 4 today maybe by the end of the week it will be 8. Keep up the good work everyone!

I am on Day 3 at Level 1 and don't let her fool you - 20 minutes is a long time. It is hard but very addicting since I want to be move to next level.
