I've been an "in-home" personal trainer since 2004 so I have a LOT of equipment! Plus, when I quit teaching Spinning classes I lost the free gym memberships and I can't bring myself to actually pay to go to a gym soooo...... Frankly, working out at home (when it's really nasty out, or I'm under time constraints) or taking…

Are you exercising? Strength training? Doing any type of interval training? If all you've been doing is cutting your calories your body is adjusting to it's smaller mass and you may just be maintaining. If you've neglected to strength train at all during your weight loss then you have most likely lost muscle as well as fat…

I'm a personal trainer that's had my own in-home personal training business since 2001, but I also work out at facilities where I teach indoor cycling classes. I usually know some of the on-staff personal trainers (if they're the ones that actually go to continuing education seminars) so I will mention it to one of them. I…

Just ask anyone who has torn a rotator cuff muscle flinging too much weight up. I see this all the time with people trying to muscle up more weight than they can handle so their form is atrocious and…

I've been NASM certified personal trainer since 2001 and I went with it because it's focused on functional fitness and is highly respected. ACE is also a very good program and recently has changed their program for personal trainers so that it is more like NASM. At the time I became certified ACE was a home study program…

I would just drink green tea because not only do you get all the flavinoids, but many health benefits come from the actual tea leaves that may or may not be in the supplement. Plus, it boosts you liquid intake for zero calories.
