I haven't posted for quite some time but I thought I'd come on to say that in just 14 days I will have been alcohol free for two years. Also, the 15lbs I lost when I quit drinking has stayed off because I still log all my food and have been doing that for over 7 years now (2,647 days today). Staying accountable, working…

As of today I have logged in for 2,621 days.

I hit the 6 months sober last week. I have to admit being sober during the Winter isn't all that difficult for me, but we had some nice warm sunny days last week and that's when I usually sit outside with my husband or go over to the neighbors and have 1 or 4 glasses of wine. This time I just had some La Croix but I put it…

I haven't checked in for quite awhile. I'm 163 days AF which I think helped me when I went in for a total shoulder joint replacement on 2/27. I'm almost 2 weeks post op and doing really well. I was kind of nervous about the opioids I had to take (trust me, the 1st 3 days the pain is brutal), but I was able to wean off them…

I'm just checking in. I lurk here most of the time and think that there are a lot of strong, strong people on this thread. I'm up to 125 days sober and have lost 10lbs without changing my exercise or eating habits. Well, I've always exercised but leaving the wine behind is what made a HUGE difference.

I read all the posts, but rarely post myself, but I have to shout out that as of today I have 100 days! The holidays were sometimes hard, but I never go anywhere without some tea bags with me so that I can occupy my hands if I have to.

2020 as of today!

I met 3 of my friends for drinks, only I have 41 days sober so this was a test. I ordered an iced-tea while they ordered their drinks and because they are great women, they didn't bat an eye or say a thing. I'd built this whole scenario up in my mind where I'd have to give a bunch of excuses or justifications and…

I'm in for November too. I'm up to 37 days now and planning on staying sober indefinitely.

Well, tomorrow is Halloween and I've been completely AF since Sept. 29th. Weight loss is only 3 lbs and inches lost only 3 inches. But, I'm sleeping really well, getting a lot more stuff done. I've decided to make this a lifetime change and don't plan to drink alcohol again. It's a poison that just wasn't doing me any…

I'm on day 23 AF...yay! Yesterday afternoon, my husband brought our friends over for a few drinks :/ but I stuck with green tea and still had a great time. The only thing I asked them to do was to take the partial bottle of leftover wine home with them because having an open bottle of my favorite wine would be a downfall…

I second MegaTunez11, focus on lower body work. I will be having a shoulder replacement this coming Spring and right now, I'm unable to use my dominant side shoulder because it's bone-on-bone with bone spurs....super painful. So, since I can hold a weight at waist level, I do squats, bridges, deadlifts and reverse roll…

Well, on my 12th day and feeling really good. Sounds like everyone else is doing well too and Congratulations on your Wedding Schmidtty86!

I'm now a week in AF and I'm wondering how long it will take before the different types of alcohol I've drank will finally fall off my "recents" list of foods in my food log. So far, they're all still there.

I'm on day 5 of not drinking and although I told my husband it would be non-drinking for 30 days, my real ambition is to quit entirely. I've quit in the past, the longest time for 18 years, but being alcoholic, it just took a few drinks and I was off to the races and now, after too much time wasted drinking (easily a…

I'm in for October. I actually started yesterday and I'm hoping to get some support to keep this promise to myself.

I'm on day 14 of no alcohol. My closest call was when my husband wanted to go out for appetizers and a couple of glasses of wine last weekend. I told him no, that I'm taking a break from Alcohol and the first thing he asked was, "For a little while or forever?" I'm still trying to answer that question in my own mind.

Seven days in with no wine, or any other alcohol for that matter. Workouts have improved some just because I feel better.

Thanks for starting this group. I'm trying to limit my drinking to less than 1 glass of wine weekly. I've been drinking MUCH more than that in the last six months. Since I'm on hormonal suppression drugs after breast cancer I'm really not supposed to drink at all since they can affect the liver. Anyway...let's see how I do…

I actually already stopped on July 17th, but I'm joining in to try and keep up my "no" to alcohol! Count me in.

I'm in too! I gained about 10 pounds due to breast cancer treatment and I need to get back to where I was before diagnosis.
-
I'm so happy to see another woman that looks like me! I'm a breast cancer survivor who didn't do reconstruction either, but I'm still sporting my radiation tan and my scars aren't as faded as yours yet. Great job on your body!!
-
I'm dealing with the same thing, and taking probably the same medication. Although I've only gained about 7 pounds, it's all in the belly/back area which is common with medication that suppresses all estrogen.I'm still weight training and riding my road bike about 100 weekly. I also have a Great Pyrenees who I walk twice…

Awesome results!

Just had another mastectomy on 10/27/15 and a revision of the previous mastectomy so other than walking and body squats, I'm pretty much out of the game for awhile. I feel like I could do more but learned the hard way that to start too hard, too early ends up working against me. So, except for eating clean, I'm just…
