  • I would rather be friends with a fatass than a fathead. But as the others said, don't use such negative terms about yourself. So you have an AMPELASS... sooooooooooooooo has JLo:flowerforyou:
  • Too right. We over 60 have a whole heap of age related problems. I would tell ALL younger dieters, to get the weight off NOW and KEEP it off. If they do so they will not face our self made problems when 60+

  • No you, I we were never ment to be fat (unless we have a matabolic disorder or an illness), i personally never cared what others thought of me. But I was always contrary. IF you want to be slimmer YOU have to change. Do not change to fit into a dress or to wear a bikini or to please someone else, DO IT FOR YOU. Do it…
  • Hi everybody, Everyone is welcome but I believe we could develop a topic for the over 60. We tend to take longer to lose weight and bad food habits are more deeply programmed than those of younger people. I am not the brightest with a PC but I will keep on trying. I take hoodia gordoni to suppress my appetite. This was my…

  • I am a chocoholic and icecream addict. I do NOT dare have it in the house. Thank goodness I do not drive and live in the countryside so I can't just pop into a store. I do not have the discipline to leave it alone if it is in the house. I'm trying to reeducate my taste and habits and that for life NOT until I lose weight.

  • YES, IHATE IT. The only thing I enjoy is walking, so I walk a lot. If i'm not in the mood or it's raining or snowing, Dara Dog soon makes me get up and go,
  • Quorn is made from Mycoprotein 87% egg white flavouring. It comes in many forms. You can buy it in any big supermarket. It is usually in the freezer compartment. 100 grams has 114 Kcals. 14 grams of protein.5.8 grams of carbs. 2.6 grams fat. 5.5 grams of fibre. You can cook any meal you like with quorn. Meat eaters often…
  • Hi phonix, I even make pate from quorn. I put the minced quorn in a pan and heat it gently with butter and olive oil. I then put it in the blender, add mace, garlic, oregano and a little brandy. I then put a feww bay leaves in the bottom of a dish and pore in the blended ingrediants . It is deliciouson toast.
  • Hi, I have been a veggie for almost a year . I do eat some fish and quorn. I cannot stand tofu but the quorn is really good. I feel vegetarian life is the way to go and will eventually give up fish. You can make ANYTHING with quorn that you can make with meat. Have you tried it?
  • Hi everyone, I'm65. i have been 15-17 kilos overweight since I was 45 years old. I never really dieted but did try to cut down ( or so i thought). Last year I started feeling breathless when walking uphill. I walk my dog 2 - 3 times aday so thought I was doing enough. Now facing the aging process I want to be as fit as…
  • Hi Marc, Have you managed to lose weight? Like the Elvis style:glasses:

  • On Friday I will be starting my third week with Hoodia. It really works. No hunger pangs from day one. But I am against pills also. So am I fooling myself with Hoodia?. I will continue for a firther 6 weeks. It is worth while reading it up online.
  • Hi Allucardd, I have never heard the term residual ghost. Can you explain it to me please? Tinlis
  • Hi, I think there is no easy answer to todays growing fat problem. I believe that our 'civilised' diet is mostly at fault. I am 65, Irish and female. As a child I only remember two fat ladies (no men) and they had health problems. I was force fed by nuns (enough said) I started getting fatter at the age of 45. I always…
  • Hoodia Gordini worked for me. I think if I take it for 4 weeks I reeducate my appetite. Look it up online. It is really worth it.
  • No way are you scary. You are very pretty. I keep repeating myself but I do believe it is very difficult to lose weight when not obese. I need to go from 75.5 Kilos down to 65. That is the reason I am here. Lose it now it only gets more difficult as we grow older. I am 65. Tinlis

  • Hi, I too am 75 Kilos. I find it very difficult to lose my abdominal fat. I'm65 so at least I don't get the preggie question. I feel morbidly obese people think we are nuts but it's all relative. Having lost 3.6 kilos I can now breathe better when walking uphill. I tend to reach 65 kilos. I walk a lot (dog owner) it's the…
  • Once again I have an open mind on a subject. Karl Jung said something like 'We all share a collective unconciousness'. .So I do think we communicate on a sub concious level. I cannot imagine why the dead would want to talk to the living. I think the laws of the universe would forbid it as it could influence life in a…

  • I have an open mind on this question. I know our brains are capable of more than we can ever imagine. I think children, whose brains are not yet cluttered with endless amounts of usefull and useless information, do (without realising it) expierence what may be telekinesis.
  • Hi jess. And hello from an Irish woman living in East Sussex. I only joined on Monday. So far I like this site a lot. xxx
  • I was thinking the following. The population of the world is increasing daily. We know this is a fact, but where are all the souls coming from to live in those multiplying bodies? Lets just say we started out with 1,000 human ancestors 100000 years ago. 1,000 bodies = 1,000 souls. Today we have billions of humans on our…
  • Try Hoodia gordini. Look it up online and form your own opinion. It stops me feeling hungry and thinking about FOOD. I have only been taking it for 10 days. Tinlis
  • The age old question and as interesting as it always was. I am an atheist, but believe that NOTHING gets lost/wasted.I drive myself crazy trying to imagine different answers to this question. I think that I/me/Tinlis will cease to exist as a 'personality' . I cannot find a better word at present. But I think my energy will…
