I almost shed a tear too. Your dedication is so inspiring!!! Congrats on such amazing progress!

Congrats on such a long streak!!! That's great!

I'm just encouraging people who are trying to kick the habit or drink too much. If you like the taste or have it every once in a while, there's no problem with that. Same with soda or anything else.

Water is cheapest. My main reason? I don't like being dependent on ANY substance. Other reasons: - Caffeine - Addictive - Increased heart rate possibly attributing to heart disease - Osteoporosis - Raises cholesterol - Heartburn - Negative effects on sleep - Dehydration - Unnecessary Of course it's fine in moderation, but…

Cooool topic! Unfortunately I haven't been logging, well, hardly at all lately. I'm waiting til my first paycheck when I can start buying food again!

Good idea. They know best!

Go Mythbusters!! I am very weird, I guess. I get bad hangovers from rum and vodka, but I am fine with tequila and whiskeys. Most people are the opposite. I think it's the sulfites in cheap liquor that do it, to be honest. (Also, get hangovers from beer and not from wine unless it's wayyy cheap wine)

When you start a new exercise regimen you can gain up to 4lbs in water weight from muscle recovery. You might be losing fat but still holding that water. Wait a couple weeks and see what happens!
-
How accurate are you with your logging? You may need to get a food scale to be sure you're getting the correct calorie counts. Sometimes our eyes skew what we see.

That's the way the program works. :) You'll notice that MFP recommends you a pretty low number of calories, so it does expect you to eat back what you exercise.

Yup, plastic ones from Walmart! A jeweler once told me that the metal rings scratch your rings too much and do damage in the end, so the plastic ones are best. $1 :) Congrats on your NSV!!

^^ Oh no way, alcohol definitely doesn't count as possibly hydrating at all! Not sure you'd survive longer stranded with beer than without beer. Definitely you'd survive longer not drinking straight vodka!! At any rate, I agree with the idea that we need 64oz of just water. Some people say that the flavor packets are fine,…

I don't buy the idea that any beverage is more of a diuretic than it hydrates you. You could live on coffee in the dessert! It's just that there is enough junk in any non-water beverage that it doesn't fully hydrate you (because you have to expend water processing it), so we should still get at least 64oz of water on top…

I have two main poisons: first person shooters and Mario Kart. I am really a Nintendo girl at heart I guess, but I don't have a Wii (yet). Just got an XBox 360 and I am looking forward to getting Live and Halo Reach soon! :D SO STOKED! One of my favorite things to do is go back and play classic games, especially N64…

When you up your calorie intake it can take a few weeks for your body to re-adjust to eating more, especially if you weren't giving it enough with 1200 cals. I agree that getting a HRM is a good idea! Continue switching it up and see what keeps working for you!

Tea without sugar or milk counts.

How about almond milk? Personally I think hormone and antibiotic free milk is great for us, don't care what the links really say. Milk contains the most complete amino acids for our bodies next to eggs.

Agreed, take advantage of your gym!! And don't skip meals. Keeping your metabolism going strong and keeping from starving will help you stick with your diet. :)

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/223939-unemployed-and-healthier Here is a topic I made about being unemployed and making healthier choices. Money, more than anything, has pissed me off about eating empty calories. You don't need it, you are free from it! Don't let soda control you, you control IT. For a while I…

Oops, thought of something way more gross! I was about 7 years old and opened up a new bag of Lucky Charms at my friend's house. On the top was a giant gray mass. I thought maybe it was a batch of marshmallows all gobbed into one. It was likely part of a mouse. I still can't eat Lucky Charms without thinking about it, and…

You guys have officially outdone me. Here in Wyoming though it's uncommon if you've eaten squid, sushi, mussels, etc. Grossest thing to me was still a "traditional omelette" I had in France outside the Mont Saint-Michel. Not to turn you away, because it just wasn't cooked properly. They whipped the eggs wayy too much, so…

Depends on the person and their willpower. A lot of people on the site take weekly Cheat Days. It keeps them on track the other 6 days of the week and works better long-term for them. Of course, that depends on if you can stick to it religiously and still make good choices the rest of the week!

Potatoes aren't veggies? o.O

Spicy brown mustard. YUM.

You'll have to log strength training under cardio.

I had to ask friends a while ago if their experience with YogaX was worse than yoga class, and they agreed it was. It must be crazy intense!!! I love yoga, hope to be an instructor one day, so I like to remind people that it's harder for P90X than normal yoga. Yoga is supposed to be relaxing even while you work hard..

A lot of people meet those calories with protein shakes. Once you're so close to your goal weight, you've really gotta change up the exercise routine and eat more as opposed to less to keep that metabolism burning strong. Good luck!
-
^ Yes. The oatmeal is pretty tasty. I like how they put enough raisins and apples in there to last for every bite! But also, a TON OF SUGAR. You can ask it without brown sugar though and that makes it better. Still, better than burgers.

Something that showed me being active to remind me of the kind of life I want to lead. - Canoeing in the mountains!! :D
