I wish I had an answer but I don't. I have no good explanation why I feel like I do, but I totally feel like the body is a bit more complex of a machine than simply calories in/calories out. I'm open though and just follow what feels right and so far it's working.

Apparently it doesn't prevent much of anything...

You don't need a PhD to be a chiropractor. Some may have them, those would be Doctors, even if it's not medical. But for the most part, chiropractors are not doctors.

Once you add things to water, then water becomes an ingredient in a different beverage... Sure water may be the first ingredient. But if I ask for a glass of water at a resteraunt and the waitress brings me a Pepsi, she's not getting a tip.

I'd have to work up the numbers, but you could whole grain white flour and substitute the butter with applesauce. Good recipe!

Let me ask this question thats along these lines... Did you find that when you eat cleaner you #2 less? Cleaner eating should mean less waste right? Makes sense to me, but I have no evidence to support it other than my own experience.

Yep... this is me too. Macro nutrients are the last things I look at.

Yeah, I was just speaking in the "regular guy" price range though, not competition prices.

Pretty much all the bikes even in the bike shops are made in taiwan or china, there will be little getting around that if you care about those things. They're great frames made to company standards and all that.... I'm in the market myself and haven't really settled on my new bike yet either. If you're looking at mountiain…

IMO, no one trying to improve themselves is a big goober... I saw a think the other day that said: "For you to insult me I'd first have to value your opinion". Who cares what strangers think... With that being said You'd need a bike with a frame size in the 20/21 inch range. And remember the cheapest bike from your local…

Give these a look. I don't have a set yet, but giving them a serious look. http://barmitts.com/

Mine differ last I checked. I always weigh in the morning after I handle my "business". I weight daily on the wii fit so I can get a nice line graph to check my trending. I don't care about the daily fluctuations because as soon as I weight I look at the "big picture" with the bar graph with almost 1100 daily weigh ins…

What kind of almond milk did you try? I use almond milk, but I get the unsweetend vanilla flavor. I'm not a fan of just plain unsweetened.

You've been losing for months, but they just recently noticed. It' happens a lot that people suddenly realize you're different and wonder how you lost it so fast. Great job!

Anything you use browned ground beef for.

Dietary cholesterol doesn't have as much to do with blood cholesterol as you think.

If you read the p90x documentation for calorie calculation it says to add 600 calories on workout days.

I'd go into the database and find some kind of cake similar ot what you ate and log it. Check your stats. You may not be over as bad as you thought. I had some chocolate chip cookie my daughter had, two pieces of one of those HUGE pizza size cookies. I couldnt' find any nutiritionals around so I logged "2 chocolate chip…

Your friend did it wrong then.

I was the same, but yeah, you'll just have to end up measuring for a while. Once you actually measure for a couple weeks you'll get a really good eye ball for what a tablespoon of something is, and what a cup of cut lettuce looks like.

Eat one, log it, move on.

You're right, it might be in the wrong forum, but did you even read the whole original post? This is not a serious post on blaming something, it still says you're fully responsible for your food intake... Lighten up a little... No that was not a pun.

BUT as you train you become more fit and your heart gets stronger. Your body becomes more efficient at running therefore your heart has to beat less to get needed oxygen to your muscles. Yoru muscles use oxygen more efficiently. You may be burning less calories, but that's because your cardio system is improving.

In my case the right shoes were less shoes... vibram fivefingers and merrell trail gloves depending on where i'm running. LOVE them both.

Use the tracker... if it adds calories to your goal due to exercise you should eat them, at least a good portion of them.

I don't recall asking why soda was bad...

The website is designed for weightless without exercise. Your daily goal has a built in deficit based on the amount of weight you said you wanted to lose. Exercise is good, you should do it, but not required for weight loss.

Your DH burns more calories at rest and doing daily activities than you do AND he exercises. He gets more calories in his BMR due to his lifestyle without working out,, THEN he gets exercise calories for working out.

Yeah, I've been torn on this very issue as well. I don't want to give them the idea of getting paid for nothing though.. Yeah, there's the teaching money responsibility, but part of that responsibility is to not get it without earning it. Thanks for all the input everyone! Many many good points to think about here.…

Just do it and see if it works. If it doesn't at least you know instead of worrying about if it will or won't work. The worst that happens is that it won't and you look for another option.
