  • Maastricht, The Netherlands :)
  • I made this over the weekend: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/7003/carrot-and-coriander-soup Replaced the potato with an apple and tasted great :) If you're not into coriander, just season with what you do enjoy; a bit of cumin or similar always tastes good. This is already a good starting base for carrot soup to tweak…
  • I will splurge on some expensive jeans that look fabulous and considering a navel piercing, depending on what my abs will be like once I reach that goal (hard to tell right now despite doing weight lifting as there's fat in the way..lol)
  • So hitting them hard would be to really exhaust them, correct? Sorry, I'm new to weights and proper muscle work outs. My aim right now is that whilst I'm working off my fat through diet, weights and cardio, I'd like to actually have something solid underneath there once the body fat has been reduced - if that makes sense..
  • I have a Polar FT40 and I set mine on the fat burning mode when I do cardio at the gym (It will beep if my heart rate rises too high and I'm in fitness mode). At the end it tells you number of calories burned as well as percentage of body fat. In a week, my waist and hip size has gone down over 1cm. I will keep using this…
  • It goes right underneath your chest muscles on bare skin; usually you need to wet the strap for good contact.
  • I've had mine for a week and I'm totally loving it. So great to see an accurate number of calories burned, when I'm in the fatburning or fitness zone, etc. Really helped my workouts and provided me with even more motivation :)
  • To be honest, if I wanted a good salad I'd go anywhere else but McD's. Their salads are ok, but calorie heavy and I could get something much more delicious in the same price range. Or maybe that's just me...
  • I know this, and I'm trying to improve.
  • I can't help it if the food I love is veggies, salads etc? Some days it is most of what I eat and it keeps me full but doesn't give enough calories. Yesterday I indulged in a healthy high-cal meal as my main meal of the day as well as two small treats in the evening. Loving food does not mean I'll eat it non stop.
  • It isn't like I'm starving myself on purpose; I feel entirely full but I just need to get some more high-calorie foods into my diet - probably lunch or breakfast. Generally I love food though & I eat back the calories - which are counted with my heart rate monitor.
  • Cute, but my gym is 10 metres from my apartment ;) And I've finally found a good running route. Living in a historic city means ****ty roads.
  • I decided to opt for the great outdoors for now, until the weather allows me to do so; with the help of the c25k app :) The treadmill will be an option for when it gets too snowy or icy. I don't want to break my back..! Thank you for the input though :)
  • I generally eat back my exercise calories (measured by my HRM) but sometimes it is hard - yesterday I ate under a 1000 cals and I was so full the entire time whilst I worked off almost 400 cals.
  • Thank you for the input! :) Total weight I would say is around 40-50lbs so quite a lot. But I guess I just have to take it easy and keep up the hard work to see steady progress.
  • I usually weigh myself at the same time, each morning & with no clothes... But I am taking measurements and apparently my waist has gone down by 4 cm which I consider quite a chunk. I'm also taking bi-weekly progress pictures. I know that the number on the scale isn't everything but at the same time, I'm currently at a…
  • Many fastfood places and Starbucks have wifi so that can help you with the internet problem; even if it is a 10 minute stop each morning to log your previous day. Meanwhile, get a cheap notebook and write down what you eat and drink each day just so you can keep track of that. I spent a few weeks in the US during the…
  • Mashed potatoes with salmon or chicken. Boil them Make oven potato wedges/fries potato salad (low-fat mayo or with greek yoghurt) Sheperd's pie casseroles Hope this gives you some more ideas :) Here's a link for more inspiration: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/potato
  • I tend to go for the veggie/salad meals anyway in a restaurant so I add the ingredients that I know, then additional calories for oil/salad dressing etc and overestimate the calories. If I know I"m eating dinner out, I have a light breakfast and lunch, or plan my meals accordingly.
  • French cheeses or Doritos. My ultimate weaknesses.
  • This really made me laugh, but in a good way :) well done!
  • My gym costs me $60 a month :(
  • Well, a lot of guys are topless and flexing here and I'm pretty sure *most* girls just see it as a guy in shape/showing his achievements rather than a piece of meat to ogle at.. Women should be able to be proud of their progress too without it instantly meaning they are targets for horny guys.
  • Would you mind sharing how you worked off that weight in six months? Eating clean combined with working out? Or any other special things that you did? I'm interested because I'm looking to lose around 45-50lbs and knowing I could do it in about half a year or so would be crazy good motivation! :)
  • Usually I eat a banana or an activia yoghurt. If I'm especially hungry, I get some light Philadelphia (thin layer), a handful of salad, some tomato and a few drops of hot sauce in a wrap and eat that (Any veggies can be thrown in there, really). Favourite three things to munch on and they make me feel full enough.
  • I do on the days where I don't want to miss out (i.e friends are over and there's snacks on the table) but overall, I probably only eat back 100 or 200 of them if I'm really hungry after working out (since I tend to work out late night, quite some hours after eating dinner). If I do eat them back though, mostly they are in…
  • Ooh, I'd love to join this 'perfect November". I've been good this week, but not my best and thus I haven't lost any weight :( \ Need to get back on my better streak! I've added you as a friend :)
  • I added you as a friend; it's always good to have someone else fighting alongside with you! :)
  • I honestly suggest fighting with it and drinking a glass every two hours. After a while, you'll just get used to it and soon, you'll be wanting it. It just takes a little bit of a fight at first. Adding lemons, limes or other natural flavourings can ease the process :) I also found that drinking it cold from the fridge…
