I have done that to myself so many times. It's actually embarrassing think about how often that happened without me doing anything about it. So, go you! for seeing the situation and wanting to make the change! Remember, beauty isn't measured in lbs. You are beautiful whether your baggy clothing fits or not. And you're even…

Hello all! I am 5'4.5". My heaviest was 207lbs and I wore a tight size 14. However, I should have been wearing size 16. I just refused to buy them. Now, I weigh 185lbs and I wear a comfy/big size 14 and some size 12.

The major thing for me is to keep exercising during that wonderful time. I always eat back my calories burned so that helps when I'm craving everything food. Another thing I do is make/buy healthier versions of things. For instance, if I want ice cream, then I grab a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich that's only 140 calories.…

I am actually currently on day two of getting back into my routine after a month break. It helped that this past weekend, I really realized how crappy I felt inside. I wasn't sick but I didn't feel healthy. So yesterday, I forced myself to do my workout (Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30) and it was hard, but I told myself I…

I weigh in every morning. I like to know where I'm at. For instance, if I gained some weight, then I can think about what may have happened the day before to cause that. Like too much sodium (so I need to drink more water today), maybe it was those donuts I couldn't refuse (so I need to watch my sugar intake today), etc.…

I used to have the same exact issue. However, instead of backing out, I would feel forced to be there so I would spend a long time trying to find something to wear that I thought I looked ok in. I think the longest it has ever taken me to get dressed was a hour and a half. I would cry, I would hate myself, I would think of…

I think it's pretty normal for everyone to get into a slump every once in awhile. Just for example sake, last month I finished 30 Day Shred and loved everything about the workouts and my results. So then I decided to buy Ripped in 30. I started it but can't seem to keep it going for more than 2 days in a row. Ask yourself,…

Congrats to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be packing for vacation in two days. However, I am already mentally packing and being 17 lbs. lighter really opens up the wardrobe choices! Have a great time on your trip and make sure you enjoy how great you look!

I too am a stress and boredom eater. Let me tell you, I am very good at it too! The suggestions above me are great ones and I echo those! Occupy your mind with something fun (because if it isn't fun, then you're going to still be thinking about food). Here's another little thing I do that works but your need to be…

I have a huge box of clothing to donate to Goodwill later this week. It's all clothing that's either too big or clothing that I was saving until I lost weight but now I don't like. But... I realized that I am having issues putting on clothing that I can now wear. For example, I have a great pair of grey dress pants. I was…

Ok, so I'm not the only one who got a random cold in July! Totally not fun... I feel you on that! As for your question about working out, I am not working out until I get better. Some people are strong enough to be sick and still get a workout (albeit a lighter workout) in but I am not one of those people. For me, getting…

It definitely sounds like you have a lot of good advice and things to think about on this board. Allow me to add one more (if I'm repeating something someone already said, I apologize. I only read a page or two of the comments.). I got married back in September 2012 and being the classic emotional eater that I am, I did…

I am also a scale junkie. The only time I don't weigh myself is when I haven't been eating well or exercising and I don't want to know what evil number the scale will glare at me. The past two weeks (since I seriously started MFP), my scale has been going down slowly but surely. It would remain the same number for about…

You go girl! I am on Day 6 of Level 1 and I am loving it (well, I love it during the cool down anyway  ). Be uber proud of yourself!
