The simple answer to this is NO. However, you should not be starving yourself either. A huge caloric deficit from a day of intense activity can lead to sleep loss, migraines, lack of focus and improper muscle recovery. If you are hungry be certain to have something healthy, satisfying and if possible filling.

You are speaking to the choir here. After a lifetime of suffering from migraines and major seasonal allergies, my adoption of a healthier lifestyle, particularly from the nutrition side (much more fruits and veggies, especially greens) has resulted in a complete decimation of all my allergies. I can breathe again!

As someone who has owned both Suunto and Polar products I can't recommend the Suunto enough for the depth of information provided.
