Will be trying this one soon....my boyfriend saw the menu for this week and was like "Are we ONLY having chicken from now on?" This will make him happy, thanks!

The Emerald brand almonds, Cocoa Roast Chocolate, (I think that's the name...not for sure, but you'd know when you saw it) are tasty and surprisingly chocolately tasting. You can get a canister and measure them out, or buy the box of individual 100 calorie packs, which contain a good amount of almonds!

The Crockpot Lady @ http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ makes all of her stuff gluten free, because one of her kids has celiacs. I'm not gluten free, but I still use her recipes all the time. Plus, who doesn't love the simplicity of throwing stuff in the crockpot?! She makes meals, snacks, desserts, drinks......all of it in…

I went a little crazy over Thanksgiving weekend. Not SUPER crazy, but ate whatever for Thursday & Friday, and didn't do that well on Saturday & Sunday either. I was terrified to weigh in a week later, but when I finally did, I had actually lost! I think that because from October 27th til Thanksgiving I had been eating so…

I've always heard that abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym...to echo what the previous poster said. Congrats! And hope your back gets to feeling better soon. :)

It may not be the BEST choice....but if you have to have your sweet fix and have limited resources, I'm sure SOMEBODY has a Hershey Kiss or some other small piece of chocolate in their desk this time of the year.

I always go with 6" turkey on wheat, no cheese w/ spinach leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, banana peppers & vinegar. Sometimes mustard, but no matter how much I emphasize "a little bit of mustard" I end up with AT LEAST 4 tablespoons....so a lot of times I just leave it off. I've occasionallly ripped off the top part of my…

Hmm.....very interesting! I think I may have to give these a whirl -- thanks for bringing this idea to my attention, never would have crossed my mind!

YUM! Made this a few hours ago. Put into database as Vanilla Pudding Pumpkin Dip. Great on cinnamon graham crackers!

Thanks for bringing this information to my attention! I know that I can simply GOOGLE it to learn more! :)

Do a search for what you're looking, or head over to the recipes board....there's TONS over there! Hungrygirl.com also has some great stuff!

Yoga Mat, hand weights (or wrist/ankle weights), Hungry Girl 200 Under 200 (....okay, that one's actually part of MY Christmas list!), other health food related books, workout clothes, good socks, iTunes gift card, good water bottle... :)

Thanks for the support everyone! It makes me feel a little better to know that a few others are feeling the same way, and that I'm not alone! Good tip on how one day should get me back on track -- it only took one good day to get started, so it shouldn't take any more to rev me back up!

I've never done WW, but essentially, isn't it still counting calories, in a way? MFP uses the actual caloric numbers, while WW assigns a certain number of calories a "point"? Do whichever works for you! The fact that you're ready to make a commitment to a healthier lifestyle is all that's really important. Good luck! :)

To mimic waht HidyleDidyle said, eat some more calorie dense foods. On days that I exercise a lot and feel like there's no way I'm going to come close to my calorie goal, I'll eat a hearty dinner and then a little while later eat a piece of whole wheat bread with 2 Tbsp natural peanut butter and a tsp of honey. It's…

I used to go to a Gold's in Georgia and loved it. The instructors were fun and upbeat, and it was just overall a great atmosphere. My current Gold's is okay....but not nearly as wonderful as my previous one. All gym's, even the same franchise are going to have a different feel, so definitely go in and take advantage of the…
