  • I broke and severely dislocated my ankle about a year and a half ago - yours sounds less severe, but it is still a crazy bad injury. Best wishes in your recovery, and give yourself some grace. Your body is working hard to heal. You are my hero for even thinking about exercising right now!
  • I am doing both. I just track the food and portions in both. I do find it helpful to track calories to avoid the above-mentioned problem of eating too many zero point ( not zero calorie) foods. WW, on the other hand, gives me a convenient way to push myself toward a healthier balance. I don’t let it bother me if I go over…
  • Eating an egg baked in half an avocado right now - I throw the halved guy in a little bread pan, crack an egg into the pit dent, season and bake about 15 min at 400 F.

Anyone who suffered from an eating disorder and then expresses thoughts that raise red flags (unrealistic/unhealthy goals, extreme concern over how she is viewed by others, overly emotional reaction to opinions given…
  • I use mine for almost everything. Several posters indicated that they would hate to use one, and they are successful w/o one. Say more power to them! However, since OP is in a slump at the moment, portion creep/inaccurate estimation is a very likely culprit. As others have said, scale measuring is more accurate than…

When it is hard, and you keep going, that's the good stuff. As to 22 year old men...I don't think being an a**hole has anything to do with that.…
  • I have pretty standard work lunches, too: Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh veggies, a fiber bar. A couple times a week I throw leftover protein from dinner on a bed of greens and toss on some olive oil and vinegar. It is easier not to think about it!
  • The first place I start when I stall out is going back to weighing and measuring everything. I agree, it is so easy to make mistakes by eyeballing portions, and those little mistakes add up quickly.
