  • Thanks everyone for all of the great advise. I'm sorry to hear that so many others also suffer from this, but at the same time, it's good to hear that others have it, and find ways past it. Fortunately at this point, the pain is minimal, I just don't want to do anything to make it worse. I'll try the stretching/golf…
  • I read a little about ESWT. Hopefully, I caught this early enough that with some rest and maybe orthotics I'll be OK. Thanks for the information though, and I'm glad that you're over it!
  • Thanks, I'll ask the doctor about this, but will have to take it slowly on the elliptical. The few times that I've tried it, it has hurt my knees (hopefully when I get down another 30-40 lbs, that will get better).
  • I've had the exact same experience with Strattera. It's been instrumental in the 70 pounds that I've lost. When I take it, no only does my appetite decrease, but I don't find myself having the "I need to stuff my face to make myself feel better" attacks that I used to get all of the time. In fact several times in the…
  • All of mine. Of course I haven't added anyone that I didn't know yet. I'm not sure that adding random people would be constructive for me.

  • I've been thinking about buying a fitbit or HRM myself, and decided to post here instead of creating a new thread... Currently, I walk 3-4 miles a day at lunch for my exercise. I use my phone to track my distance and speed, and then use the app's estimate of calories burned to enter all of that info into MFP. I'm pretty…
  • Do people seriously have nothing better to do than to cruise through other people's diary's and criticize their choices? That's pathetic. Good for you on losing weight! I started about 1 1/2 months ago at 310, and am now down to 280. I am limiting my calories, but am not focusing on anything else. That's what works for me.…
  • My 8 y.o. son had ADD and has been on Concerta for a little over a year. We resisted putting him on meds for a while because we were scared of potential side effects. When his teachers kept telling us about issues at school, we decided to get him evaluated, and then put him on meds. Looking back, it was a great decision.…
  • Mine is open, but not very interesting... I find it easiest (at least so far) to eat the same thing every day.
  • I'm glad to see others reply to this nonsense. I don't know why so many people feel the need to get sanctimonious about causes like this. I have had at least a dozen people over the past 20 years get in my face about drinking diet soda, and how bad it is for you. There is NO scientific proof that diet soda causes obesity.…
