Typical day: 6:30 am 30 minute run (work sponsored) 11:00 am 20-30 min modified CrossFit workout (work sponsored) 5:30 pm 30-60 minute YMCA workout (Body Combat/Spin) I burn the most calories at the YMCA. Organized, group workouts is the only way I stay motivated to do my best. and yes, I do a lot of laundry.

168.8, I will need to lose almost two lbs this week to maintain 1lbs per week weight lost. I'm under the 169 from last week but just barely.

I can't say enough good things about the YMCA. Its kid friendly and has physical activities designed just for kids. I take my 11 year old with me. It's not about her weight but about her health. Healthy people need physical activity. Anything else might trigger problems with self-esteem or problems with food. Same for…

Too many people my age (mid-40's) with significant health issues. Most have diet, exercise and smoking related illnesses. I don't want to be helpless and miserable at an early age worried about where my medication or food will come from because I can't work.

I quit last year for Lent. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I'm trying it again this year but starting on New Year's and keeping it up through Easter.
