The best time to weigh: First thing in the morning, a morning after a rest day, after using the restroom, before consuming anything, naked.

4 weeks but took that last 2 weeks off to work on stretching for flexibility and proper squat form. Starting back today and hoping my squat form has improved so I can start adding weights soon!

I smoked my last cigarette March 27, 2012 after leaving the doctors office with high blood pressure. Never in my life had I had high blood pressure so I said that's it, I'm done. I did use electronic cigs but I used the kind that have different levels of nicotine. I weened myself down to the zero nicotine and have quit…

Rule #8! It has taken me 8 months to lose 13lbs. So yes this is true. And yes I been working at it since July 2012. Add note: my ticker is wrong.

^^^^^Exactly! So it's really not about the weight at all.

Nashville, too!
You don't have to eat at nigh, estimate what you think you will burn and divide those calories up throughout the day.
If you know you're going to the gym "tonight" and weight lifting for 30 minutes, you can log your excercise that morning and MFP will tell how many calories you have "earned" from…

Ask your trainer if she knows what BMR and TDEE are - if she doesn't you need a new trainer!

You look fantastic and I noticed you have a waist in the more current pix! Awesome job! And that box of beautiful food! :flowerforyou:

Update: my JM dvd is ripped in 30. I did day 1 week week 1 tonight and she did kick my butt! I am commited to tune her out when she's being annoying and let her get me ripped in 30! I do not know how the ri30 compares to the 30ds.

I have one of JM's dvd's but I'm not sure which one it is and I cannot bring myself to do it anymore b/c she gets on my nerves so bad! She DE-Motivates me. But I really need to do so either something different or in addition to what I'm doing now so may I'll give her another change. Uggggggg - I just cringe at the thought…

1 to 1.5 lbs per week is a very healthy rate. If you lose slowly you will be more likely to keep it off and be able to maintain. It sounds to me like you are doing it right!

Mine is open to the public and no one ever berates me or makes comments on my diary. It is pretty boring though! Pretty much the same thing everyday. I change it up at dinner and that is based on what I buy at the grocery store over the weekend. I had mine private at one time and it actually caused me to stop logging b/c…

Yeah that was me. I didn't say we couldn't have success just that it might not be that we can add as much weight as quickly as men can. Maybe some can - maybe some do. Just stating that MY approach is taking that into consideration and that if the OP is having pain, that she doesn't have to feel the need to add weight…

^^^^This! Eat the whole egg!

I have considered quitting SL5x5 but instead I am taking a different approach to them. First of all, I can't squat with a bar at all, not even a broom handle. I video'd myself doing squats and realized my form is off. It's better than it was but its still off. I have learned that its due to my lack of flexibility so that…

I have read you should drink 1/2 your body weight in oz of water. Example: a person weighing 150lbs/2=75 should drink 75 oz of water to hyrdate their body. Who knows how much truth there is to that but there is nothing wrong with drinking plenty of water. Who knows if it helps with weight loss. The way I look at it is, if…

I feel your pain! I am 5'10 and flucuate between 168 - 171. A couple of weeks ago I actually broke 168 and weighed in at 166. Up to that point I just wanted to be in the 160's and NOT reach the 170's again! I haven't been 166 since! But have only reached 170 once. The scale is proven to be our own worst enemy! Why do we…

These two links have helped me. I knew I squatting wrong but wasn't real sure what I was doing wrong. I have now started all over again with squats. Starting first with FORM before weights! I knew I was doing them wrong when I couldn't squat in front of a wall without my knees touching the wall. Now I'm practicing in front…

Bump. Still working on form and core strength before adding the bar and weight.

^^^^This is true. You might consider entering your food raw or dry before cooking and then add the butter, olive oil, etc. that was used for preparation.
