  • I go by what the gym equipment says b/c the elliptical asks my weight, age, etc. I adjust the time on MFP to reflect the calories my gym equipment said. For example, if I worked out for 35 minutes and burned 300 calories according to the elliptical, then I put in 31 minutes and it shows 300 calories burned. Hope it helps.…
  • I'm at 142 trying to get to 125. I've been doing this a couple of weeks. Not sure if I've lost yet, but I feel better. I'm limited to 1200 calories, too.
  • I just joined this week, too. I turn 30 in a month and I want to get rid of a nagging 17-20 pounds that have been off and on since my teens. The calorie counter has really helped! My little snacks throughout the day really add up.
  • I agree--it's really eye-opening to see your calorie count. Little snacks throughout the day (popcorn, candy bar mini, etc) really add up! I've gone over my calories a couple of days and it's mostly due to snacks. I work in an office and unhealthy snacks are too accessible! I'm working on it, though.
