  • That is how you talk to people...really? Depending on where you go in the states its hard to find a real sit-down restaurant. I'm an American. I'm living in Japan. When I went home to visit I realized how few restaurants we had that didn't have a drive through. and honestly, people who arn't from the states can have a hard…
  • I love that more restaurants are adding edamame! It is so good for you. I'm glad The Cheesecake Factory is "slimming down" I have friends that love to go there but I always vote against because it's just too much food for me
  • Are you going down band and/or cup sizes? I had a breast reduction 4 years ago (putting me at a 34DD) so I'm curious if you guys are going down just cup sizes, just band sizes, or both. I have about 40 lbs to lose.
  • If it works, more power to you. I don't know that I could do it and, frankly, I'm not willing to try with my lifestyle the way it is right now. I'm not a doctor or a nutritionist so I couldn't begin to speak to if it is healthy or not. I can say, as others have said, when I don't eat breakfast (which I'll admit, I…
  • Absolutely! I am so irked when I go out to eat (which is very rare now :I'm an american living in japan:) and I "can't" order off the kids menu. I appreciate when there is a lunch portion, but sometimes even that is too much. I recently visited Cali for the first time, San Diego specifically, and EVERY restaurant I went to…
  • Absolutely! I'm so inspired.
  • You are an inspiration! You look absolutely fantastic, congratulations.
  • I posted already, but here is my chart! • Not being able to do this after surgery is killing me! I know I wouldn't make it through at all right now, as I'm really weak, but I feel like I'm slacking off x.x
  • It's already the 22nd here, so I'm weighing in! No change :( / :) Thanks for the chart again!
  • I've told people I've never sweat so much in 20 minutes, lol. I have bad knees also. My biggest problem, though, is my calves. The jump rope and jumping jacks back to back kill my calves. Any suggestions on how to stretch them out before and after working out?
  • Day 7 = DONE! I'm going to extend past 10 days of each level, especially since I've got some scheduling problems that have prevented me from doing on more than 3 consecutive days. Yesterday when I did it I muted the tv and turned on my MP3 player. It doesn't bother me either way, I just try to stay focused on the thoughts…
  • I log mine as 20 minutes of circuit training for now, but I've ordered a pedometer/calorie counter thing...so hopefully I'll get a more accurate reading. Finished day six of level one today, but I have to go for surgery in 4 days so I'm not sure how long I'll be out of commission. :(
  • I'm definitely in! I've done Level one for a couple of days (on and off) but I'd like to try doing the five days on 1 day off. Congrats to everyone who finished day one! Let's get shredded!
  • When I drink water from the tap at work (we have a restaurant and several bars) I always add lemon or lime if I want some kind of flavor. My teeth are sensitive so I don't drink a lot of ice cold water and interestingly all of the bartenders have picked up on this and never put ice in my water when I ask for a cup. Where I…
  • At LEAST one. Hopefully a girl, but whatever I have I will be happy.
  • Thanks so much for the info. Guess ill have to order them online x.x
  • I feel like such a slacker when I take days off. Got to keep on working on the self dicipline and remember it takes work to make a difference. Another question. I dont have access to hand weights so im using water bottles. Could i use those little weighted balls instead? I imagine it would be hard getting a grip lol
  • Please add me! Current Weight (As of today):173 Challenge Goal Weight (for Dec. 22nd): Weight Category: 9/1: **start of challenge** 9/8: 9/15: 9/29: 10/6: <<<mini goal weight ___>>>167 10/13: 10/20: 10/27: 11/:3 <<<mini goal weight ___>>>163 11/10: 11/17: 11/24: 12/1: <<<mini goal weight ___>>>157 12/8: 12/15: 12/22:…
  • Thanks for that, I love it!
  • I'm having the same problem recently! I hope you get some answers here.
  • Thank you for your input, everyone, and thank you for the link killagb. Every once in a while I get into the habit of snacking before bed which not only keeps me up that much longer but it adds (sometimes too many) extra calories onto the end of my day.
  • How is everyone doing?
  • Had to skip a day. I looked like a goof at work, walking funny cause my calves were so sore. Day two begins tomorrow and I'll take down all my measurements so I can really see whats going on. Keep going everyone!
  • I started day one today. I did one day a few weeks ago but then had to go out of town and didn't have access/ was slacking x.x O my goodness I can hear you on the cardio bits. I definitely tried not to stop, but I had to a few times. I look forward to continuing. There are some bits of the strength training where I do the…
  • Parked my car and ran all of my errands on food rather than driving around. I was so tired at work yesterday and I knew that moving would wake me up so I went up and down the stairs, sneaking in a bit of a work out. I also went to the local gym and checked out the group classes and found classes that I can attend around my…
  • This is a great reminder for me! I always forget about this helpful hint while I focus on other aspects of eating. It does work! Good luck everyone!
  • I'm a little late but I'd like to join too. When I started my new job I slacked off of MFP but my friend who got me on in this first place reminded me it only works when you use it! I'm currently in Japan so its hard to put in the food, but I have a scale and a gym at my disposal and I have no excuses not to work out. My…
  • Must join! Dear Mom and Dad, Thank you for all of your support and advice through everything. Most importantly thank you for being my work out buddies! You both inspire me to take better care of myself when I see how hard you're working out. And best of all...Thank you for bringing me to Japan! Everything is working out so…
