The lipo talk draws the woo’s. I knew that going in. Here’s the deal......sometimes you can learn to love a perceived flaw, or maybe just live with it. And sometimes, you can fix it. OP’s situation, should she have the money, and inclination to spend it, is the dream lipo case. Very localized fat deposits. A few incisions,…

I have learned the importance of self care and making time for reflection and mediation. I’ve lost ( and gained back) weight many, many times. This time, I’m focused on the mental aspects rather than white knuckling a “diet”

Farmers market bounty yielded the world’s best BLT’s last night. And since I don’t eat B, I made mine as an open faced sourdough Sammy with smashed avo instead of mayo.

Flat out with Pb and wrap up a banana. No need to refrigerate, eat whenever you get hungry.

I spent many, many years face down in Taco Bell after a few glasses (or bottle) of wine. Here’s a podcast you might want to give a listen to: Take a Break from Drinking, with Rachel Hart. Not only is it possible to not drink in social situations— really, no one gives a crap. True.

@just_Tomek I have a can of jackfruit I’m scared of. Any prep advice?

You don’t look ANYTHING like my Grandpa. Nice job.

I promise it gets better. I personally do use Botox between the brows and don’t begrudge anyone a little help to combat aging - but once you’re in maintenance for a bit, it will fill back out a bit. It just takes a bit of time for the “redistribution”. BTW, I’m 54 and lost #75.

Back from my 2 week vacation and I’m going no where near the scale. Today is all about pounding gallons of water to help combat a 19 hour plane ride. My clock is so off, I actually have no appetite. Happy to be home. Happy to sleep in my bed. Happy for a nice shower. I’ll be especially happy if my dress pants (no stretch)…

I have very large saddlebags and have since I was young. I know EXACTLY what you mean about “angular”. Neither of my parents held weight in their legs. As I gained weight, they got progressively larger, then when I lost weight, they remained. I got to 120 (lowest normal BMI of 18 at 5-7”) and still had them. This is a case…

Hi maintainers! I’ve been on vacay since June 1, but will be back in the states next week. Visited Montenegro, Croatia and Italy. My daily gelatos, wine, bread and pasta have likely not worked in my favor, but it’s been a lovely trip. Will wait a few days after I get back to weigh. I swear, just flying adds 5 pounds.

Thanks for keeping this going. I’m headed out for a 2 week vacation today. I’m 20# over my goal weight right now, but hope to muster up some motivation when I get back. In the meantime, fingers crossed I can hold steady!!

5-7 orig GW was 150, got there and looked okay. 135 looked good. 125 look great. If you’re not happy, keep going

@Noreenmarie1234 that looks delicious! What wrap brand is 80 cals? The drizzle is just runny PB2? I’ve never tried the chocolate flavor.

Instant Pot! Oatmeal, rice, beans, steamed veggies, potatoes. All are dirt cheap and go a long way.

If you are REALLY curious about BLE, you can buy the book for $11 which lays everything out

+1 this scale is cheap, attractive and reliable. And, it plays well with MFP.

I’m almost scared to chime in... but here goes. I will withhold all commentary to avoid the wrath https://ouraring.com

An old rule of thumb is at 5’ you should be 100#, then add 5# for every inch. Personally, I look and feel best at the very low end of BMI. So 5-7” and 120-125. I’m not there at the moment.

Lots of advice here, but as part of your research, look into a whole food plant based diet (WFPB). Even for a few months might do a world of good. Forks Over Knives is a good resource.

After months (not days) you will see trends.

It’s not too late to start!

Personally, I think the “mandated” protein intake is way higher then most of us need to be active and maintain muscle. But other options are beans, grains, yogurt, tempeh, soy, etc.

@seltzermint555 I developed Reynauds too. They say it’s rare, but I know several others that have it. It even happens when I eat something really cold. Last winter I found some gloves on amazon that are heated with little rechargeable batteries. The brand is Savior. It’s was a big help.
