What a great topic! I'll second your 2 & 3! Also: I'm finally able to tuck my shirt into my jeans and not feel self-conscious because my muffin top is now gone! I've lost over 20" from my waist, going from an 18/20 to a 6/7. I'm able to look at a picture of myself or in the mirror and for the first time in almost 20 years…

Not eating enough is a good possibility. Your diary is closed so I can't even make that determination. It could also be WHAT you eat. If you are filling up on foods that are digested quickly its easy to take in a LOT of calories and still be hungry. If you ARE eating a good amount then I'd recommend making sure that your…

I have never slept well. Quite honestly I was EXPECTING that losing almost 80 lbs would improve my sleep quality - it didn't. I also sleep @ 4 hours per night (last night it was 3). I have tried sleeping earlier, later, fed, not fed, having just eaten, having not eaten, with coffee/tea and without. Frankly NOTHING I have…

19 yr old, M, 75 ish pounds to lose. Your diary is closed. What is your goal? Do you want to develop the lower body to match the upper or do you just want to lose weight? That's going to affect your intake. How active are you? Do you work in an office?? If it were me, I would set your intake to about 2400 cals and start…

THIS ^^ I'm glad your plan is working for you OP but you are making it harder than it needs to be. You have a personal blog that you can use to write about whatever you wish. Most people use that for their stories. This will prevent the unaware new person from coming in here and taking your 'plan' as truth and then crying…

Open your diary. Are you losing 500g (which is just OVER 1lb / week) or are you NOT losing? which is it?

You are in the same place I am except I've been fuxxing with the same 5 lbs since December of last year. I know what my problem is - it looks a lot like yours. I have decided that I just don't care as much as I should and I'm happy losing WAY slower because I am not willing to give up doing what is causing the issue for…

I also use a fitbit. Have had one for almost 2 years. Originally I was eating back everything too. Before I go further, let me tell you that you have not gained 2 lbs in 2 days. That is very likely water retention caused by a new intense 'workout routine' in this case, your new job. It will come off again in a few days,…

I lived in Edmonton for years, right down town, 2 blocks from Churchill square, there were hookers who worked on my street corner. I just moved from there about 5 years ago... One time there was a guy who got too close to me while I was walking to work at about 3:45 am (I worked the opening shift at a cafe) I was carrying…

Good for you! and THAT's how you do it! Me too! Some of the things that have happened to you all..I weep for the future of humanity. I wish I could take away the pain that you all have had to go through. It's sickening.. I love my 'bi*ch face'! because apart from dumb kids mooing occasionally or some idiots yelling things…

Bingo. Might I suggest you take up MMA or another martial art? Possibly gaining that power over yourself will help you. I've been on the receiving end of 'unwanted' several times, I will tell you this... Take power over yourself, walk with confidence, hold your head up. You are not going to be assaulted if you look like…

Bring on the ice cream! Don't stress about WHEN you eat honestly, If you aren't hungry just have a snack and have a bigger dinner, or a treat, or a snack later or save up some calories for a special meal ;)

Oh boy :) If you want to see what being over looks like..check out my Sunday ;) I ate over 4000 calories. Don't get discouraged for one day. The scale might be up a little bit but it's going to be just temporary. Being over by a little bit happens, it's normal and one 'bad' day is not going to derail your whole effort.…

Oh well, darn lol. My diary is open, I drink lots of water. Sorry OP, your diary was locked and I didn't see any replies until I went back to check. You are definitely not eating enough.

In for ideas. I have low blood pressure at a normal weight. When I was bigger it went away. I used to smoke - I'd joke that it was the only thing keeping my blood pressure elevated to the point of not feeling dizzy when I stand up too fast or other random times. I NET around 1440 - eat anywhere between 2k - 2500 (or more…

This is basically what I am doing. I have been around the same weight for the past year but my body is looking much more toned since I have started lifting about 6 months ago. I'm losing inches but staying basically the same weight.

It really should depend on your personal metabolism/body. For me personally I eat around 2000 / day (gross) I eat roughly 400 calories about 3 hours after I get up ( I work out fasted). I eat another 400 or so another 4 hours after that or if I'm feeling hungry I'll just eat breakfast, lunch AND all my snacks before 2pm…

This is totally me. I figure I will eventually reach my goal though it will probably take me 5 years BUT. I'm OK with that.. I LIKE food, I LIKE eating food. At this point I am just not willing to do what I have to do to keep losing weight at a faster pace - I know this, and so it does not bother me. I'm going to buy a…

When you have a LOT of weight to lose there's nothing wrong with 1200 for a SHORT time to give yourself some good motivation ;) I dropped about 20 lbs my first month (from 230 SW). If you can handle it I'd go for it, though if you find yourself getting hungry definitely eat a little more.

This helps me a lot. I just started doing suspension training - hard stuff! Even though I have been working out for over a year I can't do most of the moves very well and some of them not at all. I'm pretty sure some of the girls snicker behind my back.. I don't really care. I'm not there for them I'm there so that I can…

This guy is one of the main reasons why both my mother and aunt - who are both close to 300 lbs - will never lose weight. They put so much credence in everything he says. Mom is always telling me what I should do to lose weight ..um I've lost almost 80 lbs without him, why would I start listening to him now ROFL!

Guess I'm Doooooomed! I'm over at least once a week , sometimes more. When I go over it's almost always cookies, brownies, ice cream..sometimes a combination of all 3!I was over by almost 1000 calories a few weeks ago - as you can see I totally blew it and gained back every pound I ever lost and then some :p Doesn't matter…

Some great advice here! Losing weight is a great goal but it doesn't change what's in your head. It's just like having money. I have it just makes you MORE of what you already are :) being thinner doesn't automatically make you happier on more than just a superficial level. That's why people who have an abnormal…

Totally doable (see my ticker) Most of what I have lost was lost in my first year. When you have a lot of weight to lose you can handle a very aggressive deficit for the first month or 2. Record everything you eat for a week before you change ANYTHING, then drop 1000 from the top of whatever the average is. Eat that for 2…

Me too ;)

It's been my experience after having been around here for the last 2 years that the peoplthe ones who are who are still around with me, or those who have been here longer (and are still maintaining) have been consistently losing, or toning up or reaching whatever their goals were when they started were the ones who focused…

This! I'm lucky to lose 1lb a month these days. I USED to lose 5 or 6 in the same time when I started out with 80 or so lbs to lose. Excersise does not increase the rate at which you will lose weight. If anything, I found that when I don't work out it comes off faster. Of course then I am usually starving since I am very…

I guess it depends how you count "meals". I start eating at about 9am and stop when the food is gone! Occasionally I will manage to have a couple of breaks between breakfast and afternoon snack but normally I just eat for a few hours. Then I wait until dinner time and eat more until I go to bed. I fail at meal "time".…

I do the same thing when I eat out so I don't have to kill myself trying to figure out every ingredient so that I can estimate it when I am supposed to be enjoying the meal. Then I look at it when I am ready to record and start estimating from there. It helps me a lot ;) I'm sorry the app you got wasn't what you thought -…

How about re-reading the other thread and going from there? The answer will not change because you 'think' it's wrong - based on your extensive couple of months of experience with losing weight... Science disagrees with your assessment, re-posting the same question isn't going to change the right answer - it will only make…
