  • 1000 - 1200 calories is NOT enough food! That is not a sustainable lifestyle, so when you go out and eat 2000 calories on the weekend, your body is going to go crazy (I don't know the exact science etc) but really try to keep your calories a little higher - higher than 1200/day for sure.
  • Eat MORE Give it a little time to adjust TAKE PICTURES AND MEASUREMENTS - I PROMISE - you will see results in the camera and on the measuring tape before you see it in the scale!!!
  • My doctor reccomended dandelion as a natural liver detox... he didn't mention it for water...
  • Why wait for spring?! I get the kids geared up with snow suits and put the baby in the stroller and shovel the driveway!! That works too!!
  • LOVE THIS - going to start doing the same today!! Does it do double whammy and work your kegels by having to wait that extra bit of time!?
  • The double stroller - that'll do it for ya!! Those things are beasts! I always feel like a train when I'm pushing it around...although it is amazing what you can get done with wheels isn't it?! Good one!
  • This is Great!! Thank you - I sat down with a calendar last night and charted out some mini goals. The other positive thing about doing that is I could see what I aim to weigh by certain landmark dates (1st birthday of my baby for example, I hope to be 150 - which is what I weighed when I got married 6 years ago...and I…
  • YAY - this is going to a new interesting way to keep on track! Weekly Goal: 7,000 Mon: calories burned (how they were burned) Tues: calories burned (how they were burned) Wed: calories burned (how they were burned) Thur: calories burned (how they were burned) Fri: calories burned (how they were burned) Sat: calories burned…
  • "This miracle brought to you by Jesus Christ" LOVE it! - all to His glory - your story is a testimony! Way to go!!!
  • I'd rather be a FIT MAMA who looks like an idot than a FAT MAMA who sits calmly on the park bench!! :) Good work!!
  • Nice one! You didn't mention who normally wins! :)
  • There's a half wall in our living room that we set the remote controls on while we watch TV. Last night, as I was sitting on the couch in front of the half wall, I wanted to turn the volume down, and without thinking about it, I reach my right hand over my right shoulder to grab the remote - in the past, my size was so…
  • I'm on day 7 of level 2 and the thing that surprized me, is that on day 7 of level 1, I felt like it was taking FOREVER to get through, but now I'm making it such a part of my lifestyle to get the exercise in each day (haven't missed a day in all 17 days so far!) it's going so quickly!! I just took midway pics to compare…
  • Most people suggested to me to record it as circuit training.
  • Here are your two options - there ARE only two: 1) Don't try, don't be bothered to "look up labels" and stay fat - and get fatter, and die fat 2) Go to a little effort (trust me, MFP is one of the EASIEST ways to do this) and lose weight.
  • People! People!! you are all BEAUTIFUL!! You were created with loving hands by the creator of all things. Who told you you're ugly? Magazines/kids in school/TV? That's THEIR standard of beauty, please please ask the ONE who made you, and know that you were made beautiful, you have value and worth far above what the world…
  • Thank you - these tips are great! Going to work out now, I'll give this a try - see how my legs hold up tomorrow! :)
  • Thanks all - my profile pic is decieving I guess - it was a year ago, not prego anymore. So the legs parallel to the floor, but what if I'm going to fall over when I get that low - any tips to get strong enough to be able to go that low in the first place?
  • Try to push through it tonight! Seriously, it gets better after the 2 and 3rd day, and you'll be thankful you stuck to the routine!! It's actually nice for your muscles to stretch out and move when they're so tight. Try - modify the heck out of anything you need to but at least push play! :)
  • I'm currently on day 14 of the 30 day shred. I've never done ANYTHING every single day, so I'm on a mission to finish the 30 days without a break! In February, I want to increase my workout time to 40 mins. March 1st I'm going to start Insanity - it scares the heck out of me right now, but that's my goal To be a size 8 by…
  • I can't wait to go SHOPPING!! :) Also, I want my hubby and I to get a bike and kiddy trailer and go biking with our 4 kiddos this summer - starting a family heritage of all around active lifestyle. Then, I also want to play baseball this summer, I did as a teen, and LOVED it and I think it would be an awesome thing to do…
  • Are you breastfeeding? If so you really need to focus on staying hydrated. Also, if you are, you need to account for the calories you burn to make milk - if you are already eating low cals to lose the weight, but you don't eat back your breastfeeding cals (300-500 cals) you could be undereating, and not only will you stop…
  • Thanks girls! I guess there's always going to be some gain with pregnancy - I just really hope to avoid the 60+ pounds that came with 0 activity and the false notion of "eating for 2"
  • Thank you! Right now the 30DS is a huge challenge for me - but I will for sure pick your brain once I'm ready for more. Should I be eating my exercise calories? Maybe that's the problem... I'm stuck at 172 pounds - although I have seen inches coming off around my waist and thighs, plus, I'm starting to see a little…
  • ooo that's going to be tricky!! why don't you organized a run? Might be interesting and fun. I'm in Barrie, and I know that's a LOOONG way from you - but the Warrior Dash is happening in July at Horseshoe valley just north of Barrie - maybe since it's such a fun event it would be worth the drive? Good Luck! Deanna
  • Hi! From one breastfeeding mom to another :) My baby was born in April, and I exclusively breastfed til she was 6 months, at which time I began introducing solids while still breastfeeding. In the beginning, I calculated my daily calorie needs for a person my height/weight/age etc. THEN I subtracted 800 cals to lose…
  • I always weigh first thing in the morning with no clothes on and that in it'self is a little obsessive, HOWEVER, one morning we all woke up later than usual, and my son had to make it to school, so I ran downstairs to start breakfast and in my rush only realized I hadn't weighed yet when I put my first bite in my mouth -…
