It depends on what you're doing during your workout. If you're just performing moderate cardio, then doing so without eating is fine. Some people like to eat like a piece of fruit or something small so they don't feel faint (like me). If you're going to do a longer and more intense workout--that will likely require a lot…

I don't trust the FDA or the USDA at all. They're so easily bought off and paid to tell us that companies in the food industry are completely truthful. In fact, I don't 100% trust their process for certifying something as "USDA Organic".... because the USDA certified it and everyone wants organic these days. Point being,…

I wouldn't mind smaller ones. Mine get in the way on upper body days.

ALL OF ME has gotten a little smaller :) Initially, weight came off my midsection. I continue to get smaller and more compact the more I weight train :smokin:

I would start with walking first. Get comfortable walking long distances first and then work up to doing short intervals of jogging during your walk. It's a very gradual process and your body will need a lot of time to adapt, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose. You CAN run, but it's okay for the process to be a…

Oh, and when people confuse throw with through.

Then, than (time vs. comparison) Their, there, they're (possession, location, contraction of "they are") Where, wear, ware, were (location, verb, noun, past tense of "to be"--and it doesn't even sound like the previous words) Misuse of apostrophes when trying to show plural possession i.e. the students' textbooks

Yes. It depends on your fitness level and eating habits. My advice: strength train and eat clean.

Go with fit bit. Or just buy a HRM. Don't pay any more than necessary to lose weight. It's not required.

Guess what? There is no definitive answer to this one. Go try one of the two and find out for yourself.

Save yourself the headache and just log the water, lol. Water expands when it freezes, so X quantity of ice will yield a slightly smaller Y quantity of water once melted.

Ditto.

HAHAHAHA. So true. I used to beat myself up for not getting up early in the morning to workout because I thought I should. Turns out, working out at noon-2 p.m. time frame works great for me. And even THAT'S a big jump from when I used to like to workout (8-9 p.m. ish). You've got to want it, but making sure you get enough…

1. STOP PIC QUOTING. It's making this thread entirely too long. 2. Recipes for those gems are mandatory my friend.

Well, there's something for everyone, I suppose. I've tasted whey *get it?* better. Try Syntrax. It will blow your mind (and your budget, too).

I'll give you one NOT to use.... Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein is GROSSSSSSSSSSS  It's effective, however, at helping meet macro goals when you're trying to eat clean. I don't "replace meals", I supplement my protein. Usually I'm drinking my protein shake with an apple or peanut butter on the…

It's called FRUIT. No baking required  If you really want to spruce it up, try partially freezing ripe bananas, insert a stick into one end half way through, then freeze all the way. They can eat these frozen or you can dip them (once frozen) in a bit of chocolate, then freeze again to harden the chocolate.…

I think I will take your advice. We've been going the cheap route for so long but if I have to eat it again, I might not be able to. It's actually making me nauseous just thinking about it!
-
I thought maybe that might be it, but I'm pretty good at making it come out tender and juicy. It's not a matter of it being tough and leathery. It's like biting into it and getting a mouthful of gristle. Nasty...

And once you continue to eat more, you'll probably lose weight faster. That is if you actually workout. 1,200 calories doesn't provide enough energy for a decent workout. So, if you start eating more i.e. you've only been losing through diet alone, you'll gain weight like whoa. That's why people who use systems like Jenny…

Eat more to weigh less doesn't work if you eat like an idiot. Enjoy your 1200 calories a day, I'll enjoy my 1,900 + 10lb/month loss.

^^This. If you weight train (body weight or with actual weights) even just twice a week, you'll notice a big difference.

As a white woman, I don't get the luxury of labeling myself with over-politically-sensitive ethnic descriptions. My heritage is primarily European, but my choices on a ethnic reporting survey are "White" or "Non-Hispanic". Kind of ridiculous. If you are born in America, you're an AMERICAN. Period. No hyphenating that…

WHOA. That sounds delicious!

Crystal light is the BOMB DIGGITY. Period. Probably not great to drink every single time you drink water, but it definitely helps to change things up and keep it interesting.

First of all, there is a method for everyone. Yours works for you and meets your goals. That's wonderful. No need to bash what other routes people choose to meet their goals. I for one follow a carb restricted/higher protein diet and strength train regularly. Following such regimen has thus far yielded great results with…

There's no doubt, when you feel better about your physical appearance, you feel more confident in the bedroom. Hands down. My drive stays pretty revved up from regular exercise... My husband notices a HUGE difference in my mood when I'm not hitting the gym like I usually do, lol. It's a great feeling to feel sexy!!

You are who you choose to be. Plain and simple. Body weight doesn't determine personality.
