  • Mmm, I've got this in the crockpot right now. It's been cooking on low all day and it smells DELICIOUS! :D I also got some brown rice to serve it with. :)
  • I was actually wondering this! I know I have weight to lose, so I'm not in denial or anything. But I actually feel amazing. I can look at myself and look past my weight and see all the beautiful things about myself. It didn't start happening until I lost a little bit of weight. But it's almost like a new sense of…
  • I looked at your diary, and your macros are actually pretty good. MFP sets protein a little low. You can always go over on protein. And while you are over on carbs, it's not bad at all! You're still under 200 right now. And fiber is good, so don't ever worry about going over on fiber. If you're having problems eating…
  • Yes, you will die. If you manage to survive, you'll wish you were dead.
  • I tried it a long long long time ago and I was miserable. I eat 1430 now, or even more if I'm hungry. I also eat back almost all of my exercise calories (usually at least 80%, if not all of them). Hey, what can I say? I like to eat! :)
  • Mine says 195. It was honest when I got it, but I gained weight shortly thereafter. Now I'm about 175 ish. I also had to get a replacement driver's license (mine was stolen) and I changed the weight on the fill-in sheet to the current 175, but the lady didn't change it on the ID. I was pissed! Hahaha.
  • Bahahaha. I just looked at the website. I'd feel way to ridiculous trying to use those, lol.
  • I eat usually anywhere from 300-500 calories for breakfast. I frequent between a few things: -A Sandwich Thin, toasted, with about 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on it, and a banana sliced on top. With a glass of milk, you're taking in about 18-20 grams of protein, about 8 of fiber. It's a bit high on carbs, though.…
  • -I take a kid's gummi-dino vitamin.I swear to God, those things are so delicious. If my mom would have kept them in the house when I was little I would have probably overdosed on them. I suppose that's why they don't contain any iron, though. -Iron supplement. I donate blood every 8 weeks and it just helps me to make sure…
  • The breakfast that keeps me full the longest is anything with good protein, fiber, and fat. The lower fat I go, the hungrier I get.
  • I'm 5'6", about 180 pounds, and my goal is 1430 before exercise. :)
  • I'm not saying it's just as healthy as water. But any fluid is hydrating. 8 glasses of soda will be just as hydrating as 8 glasses of water. Is it ideal? Is it pure? Is it healthy? No, no, and no. But is it hydrating? Yes, and that was the question this forum brought up.
  • That's ridiculous! Much too logical! I refuse to believe it!
  • Because we're talking about hydration, not about calcium that is taken from your bones.
  • One pound of YES weighs more than one pound of NO. Duh.
  • I do about two whites and one whole egg for scrambled eggs. I only eat the whites for hardboiled eggs (but that's because the yellow part tastes gross to me when it's hardboiled). Otherwise, I eat the whole egg. The yellow part does contain fat and cholesterol, but it has good fats, and it does have protein (I think about…
  • My three rules: 1) Drink whatever you want. Whether it is caffeinated or not. 2) Track the liquids, both in the water count and the food diary (if drinking something other than water that has calories, sodium, etc). 3) Drink enough of anything to make sure your pee is close to clear. Boom. Life simplified.
  • I agree, this seems best. Nothing will ever be completely accurate. I cook a lot too (I bake/decorate ckaes as a side job) and I'm constantly taste testing to make sure everything is good. If I'm really concerned, I add some quick-add calories to try and even things out.
  • I'm thinking the black button down shirt. Seems more club appropriate, whereas the sweater is more of a dinner-party appropriate. And if you're wearing a belt with the black button down, it makes it even better. Get an awesome bracelet or necklace and there and you'll be ready to go. :)
  • OMG BUMP. This looks awesome!
  • Jumping rope is an AMAZING cardio exercise. You can burn tons of calories in just a few minutes of jumping rope. Just keep at it, you'll get back to those kindergarten days soon! :) :)
  • I actually posted something like this yesterday! For me, it's cereal. I have no control. I can't just do one serving. I can keep it in the house (other family members eat it). I can even eat one serving dry. But as soon as I pour a bowl of cereal with milk, I'm gone. I could eat the entire box, and still not feel satisfied…
  • I've been told I look like Emma Watson. I think the people who tell me that are all crazy, lol.
  • Coming from somebody who studied abroad in Germany for a year- don't worry about it. Seriously. That's the best advice I can give you. Eat, drink, and be merry. NEVER AGAIN in your life will you experience those 6 months. Enjoy them. Enjoy them for all they are worth- weight gain and all. I did the same thing in Germany,…
  • I was a foreign exchange student in Germany, so I use it to keep in touch with my friends around the world (phone calls are WAY too expensive, and time zones suck). I don't use it to play games, though. I HATE getting those stupid Farmville, Mafie Wars, etc invites. They drive me nuts. Just give me contact with my friends…
  • So the burden is on the POSTER to prove why a study is flawed because a guy with a Ph.D. only found CORRELATION and not causation. If you're going to make assumptions and blanket statements based off of a CORRELATION, then the study is obviously flawed. That's Stats 101, right there. Data Interpretation.
  • I've had all those Stats classes, and based off the most important idea in Statistics ("correlation does not imply causation"), wouldn't it be YOUR burden? Also, you can have correlation without causation. That's Stats 102, I believe.
  • No, it's not, especially if a person doesn't have that much weight to lose. Maybe you don't need to eat all of your calories back (I do), but eating 1200 a day and not eating anything back from exercise is (in general) a bad idea. Your body is like a car. Calories are fuel for the car. If you went a drove 500 miles with…
  • 5' 6.5" Goal weight: 140ish. Basically wherever I feel comfortable.
  • Physically, I'd definitely say my nose and my lips. And the fact that I'm finding curves under everything! For my personality, I'd definitely say my sense of humor. I love making people laugh! :)
