"Your calorie goal is 1200 because you probably set your calorie goal to 2lbs per week, which is quite aggressive for someone only looking to lose 20lbs. My wife is the same age as me, same height as you and gets more than 1200. I wouldn't recommend replacing 2 meals with protein shakes either (hopefully you mean MRPs at…

Make extra dinner and eat the leftovers for breakfast. Tuna and avocado is a good breakfast. Check on Pinterest too....lot's of ideas

Congrats! Babies are such a gift, you are a blessed lady! =) Now, my experience is with the baby weight after only one baby so maybe my advice is invalid but I will share anyway. It was really hard for me to be motivated, especially since I was at the mercy of all the friends and family bringing me delicious meals. A lot…

YES!!! Strong lifts is great! Love that program! Make sure you learn the lifts first before trying to lift too heavy. If you don't have the means for a coach or trainer, you can just watch you tube videos demonstrating the lifts. Proper form is a must. You will get great results with that program! Good Luck!

Do you use knee sleeves? I bought the Rehband knee sleeves a few months ago and I will tell you that it has made a major change for me! My knees are not as sore all the time and I find I have much better position while doing squats and lunges. I have even used them while doing wall balls. they really gave me the support I…

I should say that I measure and weigh ALL my food!!! Even if it doesn't get logged I still know how much goes in my mouth. I am going to do better by logging EVERYTHING and see what happens. As far as my macros go...I'm not really sure I have them set up correctly and i'm not really sure how to figure them.
-
Yeah, it appears to be because I don't always log my food and like I said earlier, if you look at the past couple weeks, my dairy is all over the place due to a vacation so it's not really a true dictation of what I eat on a daily basis. But I guess that would make it awfully hard for you to give me advice then, huh? Maybe…

lol, love the gif! Forgive me if this is a silly question but how do I figure out that number? Without me actually wearing a heart rate monitor and knowing exactly how many calories I burn what is your advice of figuring what my calorie intake should me?

A lot of brands have a "boyfriend" cut. I find that those fit me better but still fit me in the waist! I have a thin waist but it's hard to find something that fits legs. typically if it fits my waist it's too tight on the legs but the boyfriend cuts fit me perfectly.

START LIFTING NOW!!!! Lifting weights will help you burn fat too! I used to be a cardio junkie and was skinny but jiggled all over and had no definition. I started lifting weights, and lifting heavy at that! I saw results very quickly and found myself addicted to it. I agree with the others though. Stronglifts 5X5 is a…

what are you doing in terms of exercise? If you are lifting weights perhaps you are gaining muscle but losing fat. Do you feel different? Are your clothes fitting differently? Of course weigh yourself here and there but perhaps you should stay away from the scale and not obsess about the number you see. Instead focus on…

law of averages! you'll be fine, move on and don't obsess!:flowerforyou:

Holy crap you eat like a beast!!! You must train like a beast! Doing work in the gym!

Accurate measuring is key! You can share links but for every opinion you find there are 1000 blogs/articles stating just the opposite. I'm not quoting something I read on the internet. I only speak from my experiences. I am living proof. Armed with the knowledge that I wasn't eating enough (wearing a bodymedia to find an…

Try eating more "real" foods and less processed foods. More lean meats and veggies and less stuff made on a conveyor belt.
-
Ha, right! There is this phenomenon I like to call "Skinny Fat". The number on the scale is low but you're squishy all over and couldn't bench press a can of soup. You want to be skinny then eat 1200 calorie. If you want to be fit then eat to perform, lift weights and watch the fat melt away!
-
Do you disagree? Care to elaborate?
-
Again, this is just my opinion and my experience but it worked for me. I purchased a body media two years ago and realized that I was NOT eating enough calories. I realized that just sitting on the couch all day watching TV I burned 1800-1900 calories. I go to Crossfit 4 days a week and run and lift weights. On my active…

By saying eat more I don't mean go out and eat cheeseburgers and ice cream. you need to eat nutrient dense foods. I eat 6 meals a day. It increases your metabolism and helps you burn fat. If you don't take in enough calories where do you think your body get's energy from? Your muscles!!! Eat lean protein and as many…
-
Do you know how many calories you burn on any given day? How did you come up with 1200 to 1300 calories a day? My guess, especially if you are active, is that you are not eating enough. Your body is hanging on to everything it can for energy, especially if you increased your activity. Do you have a heart rate monitor? Or a…

1500 calories seems low to me! You might not be eating enough and your body is hanging on to everything that it can for energy. How did you come up with 1500 calories a day?
-
It doesn't matter how much you weigh, it's how much body fat you have. You can weigh 100lbs and still be flabby but with the right diet and exercise you will tone up and lose the fat and you will have some rocking abs. Don't focus on weight, focus on droping body fat.

lol....that is exactly what I thought when I read the topic. Whey protein is an amazing way to get all the protein you need. Alot of powders can pack in 40 to 50 grams in just one serving. I try to stay away from the ones with a lot of sugar. My favorite is Pro One Titan with Flax in chocolate (the vanilla bean flavor is…

I am 5'4, 123lbs and at 15.7%....I'm trying to get down to 13% though, may even push for 11%. My hope is to be there by spring. Fingers crossed!
