I got mine awhile ago when all the Polars I saw were pretty pricey. Mine is a Timex with a watch and a chest band so it doesn't calculate calories burned, just gives me my average heart rate and the time working out. Does anyone have a link to a site that they trust for calculating calorie burned based on heart rate?

I eat a lot of carbs because I'm a vegan and eat lots of fruits and whole grains and whatnot. Good carbs, good. Bad carbs, bad.

If you're pretty active all day but set it at sedentary then you probably aren't allowing yourself enough calories. How tall are you? Are you entering your exercise?

excessive consumption of protein can sap calcium from your bones, but 66-100 seems totally fine.

YES! I'm 5' (maybe 5' 1/2") and I have tiny wrists and cute small feet and when I lose weight, it goes from my feet and neck first. Hanging onto pregnancy weight and I'm 149 and my baby is almost 7. Whoops. I've actually worked pretty hard at losing weight over the last 3-4 years, but I haven't accomplished much. Boo.

I don't actually know what this problem is like - I know that some people who need to gain weight do P90X and it helps to bulk up a little (it actually technically isn't a weight loss program, it's for muscle gain, but I want to gain muscle and lose weight) - I'm in the 1800 but you could maybe have even more. Just an idea!

I forgot soy curls! I have to buy them online b/c no one near me sells them. The last time I had them I made them BBQ and they were amazing on a corn tortilla with pepperjack daiya as a quesadilla.

Yeah I don't think we really *need* it but I like it :) I ate so much watermelon the other day (about 1/4 of a whole) that I got 7 grams of protein from watermelon :D

I am so confused too, so I'm going to try it this way. Thanks! I just learned about TDEE like 2 weeks ago and I'm 5' so I've been eating 1200 cals for YEARS. Excited to eat more, quite frankly :)
