  • To log foods that you make at home is fairly simple. Click on the Food tab, then cllick on Enter New Recipe on the right side of the page. When you cook your food weigh or measure everything you use so you can enter it into the recipe. You can enter the amounts you would cook for the whole family and then enter how many…
  • A guy who works with my husband had gastric sleeve surgery about 5 months ago. He had major complications and hasn't been able to go back to work. He had a bad infection and the stomach ruptured. He had two extra surgeries to repair the problems. Our insurance wouldn't cover the original surgery so he paid out of pocket.…
  • I always wanted to be tall and lean, unfortunately I am short and round. No matter how skinny I get I will always be round. I used to hate my thighs and calves. Lately I decided to like what I was born with since I can't change it. I am exercising to build muscle. If I can't be long and lean I can at least be strong. No…
  • My friends squeaked also. It was because the screws that hold the front metal bar had come loose. We remove the plastic cover and tightened the screws and the squeak was gone.
  • I started about 3 weeks ago. I did the best I could and modified some of the exercises that I couldn't do full force. I did the fit test again recently and doubled or tripled the amount of reps I could do. I was really surprised because I didn't realize how much stronger I had gotten. You can do it, don't give up.
  • Check out this blog http://www.300poundsdown.com/, her story is amazing. She started exercising 30 seconds at a time and worked up from there. I started exercise with walking slowly then move up to walking faster. Recently I started doing Insanity, which is really hard but I haven't died yet. I do modify some to the…
  • I'm on day 19 of insanity. The first day I was just amazed that I could do Insanity and not die. I can't do all the exercises the was they do but I modify it and do the best I can. I just did a fit test recently and have improved a lot, most of the moves went up by at least half. I didn't realize how much better I was…
  • My husbands friend just had the gastric sleeve. He ended up having major complications. He got a major infection and also had part of the suture where they removed part of the stomach rupture. He had to have at least 2 extra surgeries. He has been out of work for four months and will be out at least 3 more. I think diet…
  • I have lost 40 pounds since the beginning of January. I have notice that when I went down to 1200 calories I didn't lose weight. I lose more when I eat more. MFP started me out at around 1400 and something, then refigured and put me down to 1200. I followed it without any cheating and didn't lose weight for over a month.…
  • I agree. I feel terrible when I use a cheat day because I eat high sugar foods. I never realized how bad they made me feel before I quit eating them. I also have a hard time getting back on track and crave sugary foods for a few days after eating them. It is just easier to stick to healthy eating and feeling good.
  • I read a blog called 300 Pounds Down. It is written by a women who was over 400 pounds. She ended up having weight loss surgery but that is not the whole story. She started exercising for 30 seconds a day. Each day she added a little extra time. A few weeks ago she ran a 5K with her brother. Her story is amazing. Check it…
  • Look at the blog Skinny Taste. They have some yummy, easy recipes. I made potato skins stuffed with buffalo chicken that were good and low calorie. My family even like them.
