If I had a treadmill I would be the same way. I could walk and read for hours.

I am a huge book worm too. My kids give me so much crap about it. I read every single day. And I tend to panic if I don't have a book to read. I wonder if that is an actual fear. I will read just about anything too. My guilty pleasure is vampire novels. My all time favorite author is JR Ward. This is my second go round…

I only use my Endomondo when I am walking. That is the only time I ever turn it on.
-
That helps a lot. I don't think she knows how to use her fitbit. She assured me that the 1800 calories burned were from the walk alone.
-
That was the only thing we did all day. We stayed home all day until the walk. As soon as the walk was over we compared our stats.
-
That is gross. And I wouldn't imagine that can be a healthy way to look at things.

All I did for the first year I was here was monitor my calories. As long as I stayed under my calorie goal I was fine. I lost 40 pounds. Now a days people want instant gratification. That is not how weight loss works. You didn't put that weight on overnight and it won't come off overnight.

Dying before my kids are grown. Although death in general scares me. And severe thunderstorms.

When you add your exercises your calories will go up. If you go for an hour walk you will get back those calories. So what it is telling you that if you did nothing all day long except sit in a chair you can have 1320 calories. If you exercise and burn 100 calories you will then get 1420 calories that day.

I started my second journey on September 1st. I have done this once before. I just didn't stick to it. Always remember, if you had a bad day don't give up. That is just one day. Tomorrow will be better. You got this!!!

I think it is all personal preference. I never drink milk, I don't like yogurt and I could live without cheese. But my son could drink a gallon of milk a day and be just fine. And he is skinny as can be. I say if you like it make it work for you.

I got tired of counting calories too. So I quit. Now I am back at it again because I gained 25 pounds back. I am very disappointed in myself.

I have come across the same thing at work. It will be someone's birthday and they get really upset if you don't have a piece of cake or a cupcake. In some cases I have taken the offered food and just thrown it away when I get to my desk. Then no one is offended. Some people just don't take the word no too kindly.

I have that same problem. I never do anything for myself. I work a full time job. I am a single mother of three. My oldest works so I am constantly driving her back and forth to work. I probably spend a good 2 hours in the car every day. Sadly that is my me time. I leave the house at 6:45 and don't get back until after 5.…

I would like to join too. I have been so bad when it comes to my diet. I just don't want to do it anymore. I think I need people that will tell me to get off my lazy butt and do something. I currently weigh right around 200 pounds. I am 5'5". I was down to 180 this time last year but like I said I just got lazy. I need…

They don't work. My cousin hosted a party and 3 of us tried it at the party. I swear my stomach was bigger in the after shot. Not worth the money I spent.

I had to literally quit buying snacks. I don't keep anything snackable in my house because I can't control myself either. It drives my kids crazy but they don't need all that stuff either.

I have never been able to drink diet soda because I hate the flavor of it. But in 2009 I was diagnosed with Epilepsy and my neurologist said ABSOLUTELY NO artificial sweeteners of any kind. He said they have all been linked to an increase of seizure activity. No I don't have a link to any studies. I am just telling you…

What is it called?

I calculated mine here and this is what I got... 2.5 MPH for 50 mins = 214 3.0 MPH for 50 mins = 235 3.5 MPH for 50 mins = 271 4.0 MPH for 50 mins = 356 You could also go to other websites and see what they are claiming and average them out. I can't afford a heart rate monitor so that is usually what I do.

A BLT with no mayo and a side salad.

I log right after I eat. But if I am going out to eat (like I did today) I will pick a few options and log it before I order. That way I know which one is lowest in calories.

MAZIECHICK!!!!! That is fantastic. Congratulations. I have realized that this isn't about a diet. It is about change. I know that this weight will never go away and stay away if I don't change how I eat. I did really well for about a year. I lost 40 pounds. But then I got lazy. I stopped caring. When I hit 190 pounds again…

I have been here for almost 2 years. I initially lost 40 pounds but I have been slacking for a while. I put 15 back on. I still want to cry about it. But I am back on track. I have deleted a lot of my friends. If they haven't signed in for a month or more I delete them. Anyone can add me.

For every ten pounds that I have lost (or gained unfortunately) MFP suggests that I update my goals. When I do that it changes my calorie intake.

The cottage cheese sounds really good. I am going to have to try that.

Does anyone think genetics could play a roll in flat stomachs? All the women in my family have large stomachs. Am I destined to never have a nice stomach?
-
I have friends and family all over the country and they don't know how we do it. I agree these -25 degree temps are a little much to take but eventually the beautiful spring will return.
-
These all sound pretty good actually. I am going to try them all and go from there. If I can get my kids to eat it then I will be making progress.

I would love to join you...IF I didn't have to count the calories. :) I love Reese's Pieces.
