Yes, please. However, my age-appropriate crush is for Catherine Zeta-Jones. Ooops, I just looked both up and they are less than a year apart. Catherine has been married to a guy older than me, though, so I think of her as older.

I've lost 80 pounds--no pills, no surgery--and I'm damn proud of it. I have shared with others that I might want to lose 25 more pounds and some think it is too much. However, no one has suggested that surgery is better for me than what I have done. If someone would make such a suggestion, I wouldn't punch them, but I…

It is a nickname for a golf putter (flatblade) and I do love to golf!

I would love to meet overseas friend sss1966. She has undergone such a transformation!

I dislike "big guy". Especially now that I am not a big guy! I hated with white-hot passion a nickname I had in high school. I went to my class reunion in 2012 and related this to my classmates, most of whom were surprised and thought I had embraced the name. I don't mind flirtatious names--"hon" "dear" etc., but I once…

To me, it is a no-brainer. #1 is health and #2 is appearance. There is a lot going in to both priorities. With health comes ability to do more with less fatigue and exercise more robustly. Along with appearance, you get new clothes, and probably both results give enhanced performance in the sack.

I'm 5'9 1/4" and 199.9 lbs. My ultimate goal is 175. I set an intermediate goal of 220, which I considered the weight that was medically necessary to shed. I haven't weighed under 190 since the 70's, so I am not sure if that goal is reasonable.

Walking the golf course without getting tired. Not avoiding people I have known since I was in better shape.

Yes, reality TV is viable because of the much smaller cost than scripted shows. It is relatively popular for several reasons: 1) Many people identify with the "people like you and me" angle. 2) The stories can be edited to have a lot of drama and 3) There are some with good competitions--we do like our games. Personally, I…

I started my journey at age 58 with 105 to lose. I have lost 80 so far and have 25 to go. I've done it in 6 months, and have been far from "perfect" every day. Just stay consistent and do three things: 1) Eat less 2) Eat better and 3) Exercise more. It isn't the easiest thing in the world, but you don't have to overthink…

I want to run a marathon or at least a 10K, I have two cousins who are older than me who runs marathons. It would be cool to run with one or both of them. I am hesitant because of my knees. I have one knee that has a partial tear in the ACL and arthritis in bpth knees, so I don't know if my joints are up for the pounding…

I drink Diet Coke almost exclusively. I drink too much of it, but until I hit my weight goal, I'll use it..

I struggled through the past weekend above calorie goal and did the same the two preceding weekends, so I guess I have a similar problem. Holiday travel and parties contributed to my difficulties. I tend to be pretty optimistic, though, and don't think these low points are more than blips on the radar. While I exceeded my…

I dislike reality TV and really don't like "Biggest Loser". The audience gets manipulated and we see edited clips of their life and their attempts to get healthy. The contestants get facilities and opportunities that most of us will never have. Count me out!

I've actually lowered my goal by five pounds (quite a while ago), but even at my goal, I'll be classified as "overweight". However, I think my goal is reasonable and some friends have said it is too low. I have been at or below my goal about a week since I was in ninth grade and not at all since the 70s. As written in…

And every guy on MFP (hetero anyway) automatically checks out every thread that has "busty girls" in the title!

Feel free to add me. It looks like we both have the same amount to go. Nice to find someone with similar goals.

I don't know about "lose weight or die", but I got a pretty dire message from my Dr. about seven months ago. I needed to do something immediately to avoid my blood sugar going past "pre-diabetic" and I was also on cholesterol meds and threatening to be diagnosed a hypertensive. My doc suggested I consider bariatric surgery…

I had grown frustrated and had 60 lbs. I absolutely had to lose. That's done and with full commitment, it was not that bad. Find your motivation, use what MFP has to offer, and find more support. You can do it.

No question about it--I love to golf. Being a Minnesotan, I know that I can't play all year 'round, but that is what I love to do.

1) New York--So much to do, so much to see and you can walk all over the city. Entertainment abounds! 2) Seattle--Pretty, interesting. I love whale watching and Puget Sound. Great sports venues. 3) Colorado Springs--I love the climate. I like the mountains and AFA. 4) Boston--History and beauty. Harvard and MIT. 5)…

Keep trying! The most important battle is to keep trying. I've spent at least 90% of my adult life overweight and probably 75% of it classed as obese, but I am enjoying my success right now. You can do it, you have done it before.

1) Fewer wedgies. 2) A bigger turn in my golf swing, resulting in hitting the farther despite having less bulk.
