I ran my first half marathon about 2 years ago...I trained for 6 months, I was 142lbs and I ran it in 2:09.

I'm doing 40/30/30...I eat a lot of healthy high fat foods b/c I'm a vegetarian and they are high in protein as well. I just finished my first week and although I've been over on my fat a few days I still lost 4 pounds. I find it really difficult to get enough protein and carbs. My diary is open if you want to look at it.

Ezeikiel Bread is pretty good -- fewer calories and some argue that it's healthier for you. I really like it.

I do one "treat" day a week (within reason), where I don't count my calories and eat what I want...it's important for me to treat myself if I go to the gym and track my calories 6 days a week...it pushes me to make sure I hit the gym all of those 6 days knowing that I get to have that one day a week.

Hey! I'm a veggie too! My favorite quick breakfast is a fruit/yogurt/protein powder smoothie. It takes about 5 minutes to make and leaves me satisfied through my morning workout and well into the first couple of hours at work.
