Ireland is beautiful! You will love it. I have sent you a friend request. I have about 100 pounds to lose too and can need all the support I can get. You can do this!

Good job! Before you know it you will be doing 3 miles. I am also doing a Run or Dye in October. Good luck!!

I am right with you. I run right at a 13 minute mile. I have done lots of 5ks and I am typically not last. However, my goal is always to finish and to beat my time from the previous race. If you are worried about finishing last check out the results of the 5k from the previous year to see the finishing times. I am sure you…

Color runs are really fun and as someone said above Couch to 5k is an awesome program to get you going. To prevent injuries, make sure you have good shoes. Good luck!

I think it is totally doable. Research some training plans and you will see most are 13 week programs. Plenty of time for you to get going. I am running my first half marathon in October as well. My goal is to finish. Slow and steady wins the race. Good luck!

I would be interested in joining.

Sounds about right. One of my fitness instructors said the elliptical should burn around 100 calories per 10 minutes.

The Color Run is a blast!! My advice - Wear a hat or your hair will be colorful too and keep your mouth closed in the color zones, unless you like the taste of paint. :-) Have fun!

Try putting the strap under your bra and make sure the strap is pretty tight. Good luck!

Don't give up on the weightloss - Give up on the scale!

Great post! Keep doing what you are doing. What works for some people doesn't work for everyone. We are all different. Keep up the good work!

I have to tell you I was stuck for quite some time. I reduced by carbs and it has helped. This was something my doctor told me to do. I didn't completely cut them out, just restricted them. Hopefully this will help.

I recommend the Couch to 5k program. It starts you out slowly and builds you up to longer runs. You can google it to see what it is all about. It is a good program for new runners. Good luck!

You look awesome!!

That is so awesome. Keep up the good work!

It is a lifestyle change. By that I mean I am making changes I can live with for the rest of my life. To me a diet is nothing but changing your eating habits for a period of time. I need to change my eating habits for life so I can't say I will not eat chocolate chip cookies anymore. Well I could, but it would be a lie.…

I use the Polar one. I had a Sportline prior to that and the Polar seems to do a better job of calculating calories. Good luck!

Congrats! I am so close and can't wait to make this same post!

Girl Scout Cookies then Robin Eggs - I may be doomed!! I have no will power over either so I bought girl scout cookies that I didn't like and just don't buy the Robin Eggs. I would devour the entire bag of Robin Eggs in 10 minutes. :noway:

I had one and it said I was burning more than twice what my old one did. I took it back so I don't know the model number. The one I had did not let me set gender which makes a real difference in what you burn. I would get a new HRM.

Wow!! Way to be supportive.

Glad to know I am not the only one. I was always the one who was never cold, but now I can never get warm. I too amsuffering from Reynauld's syndrome since losing about 40 pounds. My fingers and toes turn white. I have started wearing stocks with my all of my shoes to keep my toes warm and gloves are a must if I am outside…

Well said! It's all true. Just let me add that what works for one person does not necessarily work for another person. Don't judge your success based on someone else's results.

Just one - Patience!

Moving is what counts. You will be running before you know it!
