I have calibrated my new Nike+ to the treadmill, and I am finding it to be DEAD ON. Sometimes the pace is off just a tad, but end result is the same. I am curious to see, once I get outside, to see how accurate it is, I am thinking it may be best to have one calibrated for outside and one calibrated for treadmill, not sure…

oh that's funny...doh

Or maybe as a suggestion where it forces you to read a pop up that says something like "there seems to be many similar entries, are you sure you need to create this item?"

I agree, but then again I use any excuse to eat meat.

actually depending on interpretation of what you can eat... I would say egg whites. 2 hard boiled eggs, egg white only is about 34 cals, high in protein, no carbs edit...damn you MVL beat me to it!

I'm thinking cheese of some sort

That's impressive I am amped up for at least 1-2 hours after I work out. I usually work out at my work gym right after work, so sometimes 6, sometimes 7 or 8 or later.

I feel you get that on any forum, but I feel it is much less here. People generally want help, and are willing to give help here. Debates are good, as there are so many ways to look at things, and can give people options. Butttttttttt, there is no place for being disrepectful, especially when we are all aiming towards the…

Does the treadmill not calculate calories for you? Most will as long as you put in your weight.

my father is the same, and my mother is the enabler. She always says "I have to cook him this he won"t eat anything else" ie fatty, carb full foods, he uses lots of salt, and eats ridiculous portion sizes. It took a small miracle to get them to 1% milk, and to whole wheat bread. good luck looking forward to ideas.

Many people do bacardi and diet to avoid carbs and calories. I think bacardi has like 97 cals per 1.5oz serving?

Thanks Banks appreciate the detailed response. Currently am slowly working my way up to being able to run a 5k without stopping. Right now can run about 2.3mi without stopping, usually at 10min mile (6mph). Usually a shin splint (always had an issue there), or back pain, or something will keep me from the 3.1. Lungs and…

I am exactly the same way, darn you alcohol and your tasty goodness.

You can find fish oil pills that are enteric coated to avoid the fish burps. Work really well for me.

careful you'll never get those little buggers out of the keyboard!

welcome hi all best of luck in your endeavors!

I saw a post somewhere that mentioned using Ranch Powder (to make Ranch dip) with buffalo sauce and crock pot, and I went to the store and forgot the ranch dip! So I gave some fat free sour cream a try, and it worked wonderfully to take out the bite. You can pre mix it to get it to a flavor you like. Enjoy!

I searched and found this thread. I love buffalo sauce, prefer anything Frank's based to Texas Pete's, for example. I have always had a thing where every new restaurant I go, I have to try their wing sauce. Whether it be wings, or tenders, I need to see how their sauce tastes, every place is so different. Random note,…

Thanks guys for all that replied, all extremely helpful! Helps to get different ideas from people, and then incorporate what works for my time, lifestyle, preferences, etc. I think bottom line for me may be organization, and taking the time to plan properly. Usually I come up with a list of what I want for the week, with…

Why yes you can! It is a recommendation as my body doesn't break down foods very well. For example, my pancreas doesn't produce enough enzymes to break down food well, so she is getting me on supplements to assist. She feels staying away from grains for the next couple of months will help as they can be more difficult to…

I like the idea of using it like a cold rice salad. I just made it today mixed with cooked onions and peppers, not bad. Any other thoughts out there? My nutritionalist recommended I steer away from grains but is OK with quinoa. Any creative ideas?

yeah if you could freeze some and overnight it that would be wonderful

If I have a weekend of eating bad and/or drinking with friends, I will gain within the next day or two. I'm guessing for me it could be water retention from the beer, but I'd think sodium and other crap doesn't help!

good question! I would like to know too, hence you can prepare accordingly before making a recipe, and possibly use substitutes or limit quantity as needed. edit: thanks Faith looks like that will work well. then use the info to add into MFP as a food you created.

hurts my boobs too! haha kidding. I have committed to trying to be able to have a decent 5k time by spring or summer. So I have to run, but I agree, I hate running, and any given day, I see so much improvement in my endurance, but there is always something, my knees, shin splints, my back, etc, that keeps me from running…

when you look forward to hiking/snowshoeing because you know you'll have the energy to enjoy it rather than waiting for it to end

I tried out BPM Analyzer, its a free download that will analyze your beats per minute of each song, and then you can add those songs to a "workout" playlist for example. It has some kinks, and isn't perfect, but a good way to make sure you don't get stuck working out to a slow love ballad.…

This means they are bumping the thread to the top so more people will see it and post to it
