My ENT figured out it was dairy that was causing my sinus issues and migraines. It is hard to avoid dairy, but well worth it. I didn't realize hiw poorly I was feeling every day until I gavv up the dairy. I feel 1000% better without it.

bump I have trouble meeting calcium intake too. I know broccoli and spinach are good sources, but I do not want to eat them everysay.

You can buy them unsalted - sunflower seeds are very good for you - just not all the salt. Try almonds with no salt.

Almonds and pistachios (reduced sodium ones). Peanut butter on some Mayr's Gone Crackers (awesome if you haven't tried them yet). Does the room have a coffee pot? Could just make hot water with it and make some instant noodles or soups.

Planks! If your ankle can't take them with straight legs then do them on your knees. Follow up with crunches, isometric upper body/arm exercises. Leg lifts lying down to get hip/seat/upper leg. Inner thigh squeezes with a pilates ring. My personal trainer has me do all of these things repeatedly for an hour and you…

Flavored balsamic vinegar - amazing with just a tiny bit of oil. My favorites are Sicilian Lemon, Fig and Pomegranate. http://gustareoliveoil.com/

Tofu scramble with ginger. Sautee onions and garlic, add spinach and crumbled firm tofu. Add ground ginger, salt and pepper. MMMMM

Dandelion tea - natural diuretic.

Try a warm bath with sea salt and baking soda (1/4 cup each). Salt is a natural anti-bacterial. If it is bacteria causing the smell this will help. If it doesn't help then see a doctor! Good luck!

There is a great chickpea soup recipe in Jaime Oliver's Italian cookbook - just substitute veg broth for the chicken broth. Peter Berley has a wonderful vegetarian cookbook that has many vegan recipes and a huge section on beans. All of his recipes have been great so far.

Extremely interesting. I have been reading all the articles regarding fecal transplants to cure C difficile too. Now there is talk that bacteria transplants may help with food allergies too. Amazing what we do and do not know.

Good for you!!

Cut in half - serve filled with crabmeat or with mango salsa - a little cottage cheese on the side if you like.

Buy the supplies for a hobby you have always wanted to try! Like painting watercolors or herb gardening or flyfishing or silversmithing - whatever! New hobbies will also distract you from food:)

Exercise or I drink a big glass of low sodium V-8. Surprisingly filling and very few calories with the added benefit of nutrients.

My sister gave up Diet Coke a year ago and switched to tea for the caffeine. She lost over 10lbs after giving up the DC! Lots of studies out there touting the benefits of caffeine - so maybe just switch your source?

I have heard that too! Apparently fat also stores medication - like antihistamines. As you burn the fat the chemicals are released.

Thanks. I have avoided any products from cow for 4 years now - but every now and then a restaurant ignores my dairy free request and I end up with terrible eczema. The reaction seems to be getting worse instead of better.

There is a recent post on Vegetarian/Vegan protein sources (just a few days ago) that has great info on protein alternatives that aren't powders.

Resistance band rows while seated - to target upper back and lats! Isometric arm exercises with 1 lb weights. Tones really well!!!! I have gotten rid of that little bit of bra bulge that way. Skull crushers with 3 to 5 lb weights in each hand. - works the triceps.

Not quite true....you can be allergic to cheese made from cow and not goat or sheep. And her reaction to cheddar cheese may just be the beginning of a slide into a full blown allergy to dairy.
-
When you say your allergies are "through your skin" what do you mean? I have a cow dairy "allergy" in that if I eat any cow dairy I get eczema all over my face, ears, neck and upper chest that lasts for 2 weeks. But I do not test positive for an allergy to dairy with the skin prick test.

Sounds about right to me. I am 5'8" 177lb and I lose weight if I stay between 1600 and 1800 calories a day.
-
Eat more veggies and fruits - it's always a good idea! Trying taking a stroll every morning to get your metabolism going for the day. I read even a 10 minutes walk does wonders.

If it makes you feel any better, it usually takes 6 weeks for me to see any significant change. Just the way my body reacts. Stick with it!!!

Toe taps will help strengthen the front of your lower legs and stretch out the calf muscles some. They will help you balance the muscles. Toe Taps. Lie on back with knees bent feet on floor. Raise toes - keeping heels on floor. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Front of your calves will feel like they are burning! But really good…

Maybe it's the caffeine in the chocolate that you are craving. Caffeine withdrawal causes headaches.
