I love telling this story! LOL! My hubby was my step-brother... Now for the detail, my dad married his mom when I was 11 & he was 19, they were married in May and divorced by July, yes of the same year. I actually lived with my mom, so I think that the longest time we ever spent together was the day of their wedding. But…

Amazing story and congratulations on your wonderful life accomplishments and weight loss acheivements and goals! I totally agree, though my diary is open to friends...I have a Mountain Dew addiction that I am just not willing to let go of! Though I have gone from drinking 8 - 10 a day to 2 most days, some days I will sneak…

Hello all! I am 39 and a mother to 3, I work a full time desk job, that allows me to be only slightly active...delivering things and taking care of supplies and such. I homeschool my 2 youngest ages 9 & 12...my oldest is 19 and graduated from public school in 2011. I joined MFP 30 days ago after years of leading a…

Hello and glad to see you! I love to dance, but I mainly do it just around the house. LOL! Though I have picked up a Zumba class twice a week and absolutely love it! I am somewhere around 20 days of logging and love MFP and have met some amazing folks here. Feel free to add me if you would like a comrade on this journey. I…

Mine is a pic of me wearing a Mother's Day hat that my daughter made for me in kindergarten. It doesn't fit, but beautiful nonetheless.

Open to friends. I like food...& I don't really worry about what others think, at my age. I know that the fact that I am finally serious about getting off of my rear end and working out, the few excess pounds will come off without starving myself. Toning is what is most important for me right now.

I just finished watching the "Day 1" video and definitely plan to give this a try tomorrow. I just kind of wanted to see what it was all about before starting...I have been doing situps and treadmill, and some on the Wii Fit, but I hope this will work the stuff I wanna work. Approaching 40 means things are starting to sag…

Absolutely amazing! LOL!

I want to look good for me, can't afford to keep buying new clothes, was always told as a kid that I was fat, and want to stop health issues before they start.

I am 5'1" and after a 2 pound loss, I now weigh 145, but I would love to be around 120 pounds eventually.

Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye...not sure why, I hated it when I first heard and now it is growing on me...
-
Wow, hard to pick just one...LOL! The hardest thing for me to let go of would probably be Mountain Dew...though I have gone from 6 to 8 a day to 2. Once a week I have allowed myself 3 in one day, if I feel like I have worked extra hard and stayed under my calorie count. My diet used to consist of the Dews and a candy bar…

I agree it is not about needing a cheerleader or needing someone to motivate you...my hubby and my 2 youngest children are all tall and thin. My hubby, and I love him for it, loves me the way I am, but I don't! I am not able to have a workout buddy due to family constraints, but now I don't need a workout buddy, I have…

I say good for him! While yes he is still growing and I certainly would not put too much emphasis on dieting per se, but I don't think that the education of calories and such is a bad thing at all. I really had no clue until about a year ago how many calories and such I was taking in, when I started doing the research.…

I am happy to say that I got a full 10 minutes in for a first day of exercises, 150 sit ups, 150 jumping jacks, and 6 squats. I am quite proud of myself!

Me too for sure! My biggest problem is Mountain Dew...I have been known to drink 8 Dew's a day! I actually was able to cut it down to 4 or 5 and now I am trying again. I have had no more than 2 a day for the last 3 days. I also love chocolate and cakes and cookies and brownies...LOL! My mom was a huge home made baker, she…

I am a mother to 3 and a fabulous 39 years old. I stand 5'1" at 147 pounds. I live in the US, in the midwest; Illinois to be exact. My hubby and 2 of my kids are tall and thin; my 12 year old is already 6' tall and my 9 year old is about 4'6". My 19 year old is 6' and 188, so he is built like his momma. Looking for friends…

I am counting as my first day of exercise, so I will do 10 minutes of jumping jacks and add that to my 50 sit ups.
