  • There is a great book called Low Carb living by Johnny Bowden. I learned a ton. Then worked with my trainer on my protein needs based on my RMR, daily calorie intake and I keep my carbs under 50. Don't be afraid to eat fat. Pinterest has tons of recipes.
  • Keep in mind that if you don't eat enough protein based on you RMR, you won't gain muscle. Find the right calorie level that is needed. I do low carb and base my protein needs on my RMR. To me, it is the best way to eat for those who have a tendency to become addicted to carbs.
  • I still have over 100 pounds to lose and so far have lost 52. I started getting very serious back at the end of last Sept and currently I have never felt better.
