  • New York for sure! That's the top one on my list! I'll be applying for 2012! Chicago Disney Princess Half (doing in 2/12) Vegas I'd love to do an Adventure Marathon (like South Africa or The Great Wall) And a Tough Mudder event too!
  • These are my next big races... 1/28/12 Bayou Bay and Back Half Marathon in beautiful Destin, FL! Danny Cahill (season 8 Biggest Loser winner) will be there too! 2/26/12 Disney Princess Half Marathon in Orlando I may do the bridge run in Pensacola too...I'm working races into my half marathon training program so I'm not…
  • I'm in Destin
  • bljbixer -you aren't talking about the McGuire's Running Club are you?
  • When I first started my weight loss journey, I was on here much more often than I am now. I was constantly checking things and making sure my calories were still under my goal. Now that I've been on here for 11 months, I'm not on nearly as often as I was. I still check before I go out to eat anywhere. Other than that, I'm…
  • But have you read the Sookie Stackhouse books? When I first saw Eric Northman in the show I was a little disappointed. In the books, he's like the ultimate hottie but the show he's just "ehh"
  • I will bet that anyone who is Team Jacob has never read the books because anyone who has read the books would be all about Edward. Jacob is just an immature punk in the books in my opinion. He gets on my nerves so much. Edward on the other hand, always knows exactly what to say and the chemistry she describes just makes…
  • Most definitely! Just be prepared to see a little of the weight bounce back once you start introducing carbs into your diet. Drink lots of water and don't eat crap meat (hamburger patties, bacon, etc) as that would be counterintuitive. I have family who would go on low carb diets all the time and thought it meant low carb,…
  • It's completely normal and completely unpreventable. Nothing I do ever changes when I'm on my period. I actually go down quite a bit after my period because I was really trying not to gain during. If I stay the same, I'm happy. If I go up more than 4 pounds, I start to freak out.
  • This is exactly what I do. When you add the bananas in when the oatmeal is really HOT they tend to melt into it. So yummy. I usually only need 1/2 a banana too. And there's just something about honey in oatmeal that makes the world seem right.
  • Oooh, a skinny margarita?! What's that? I usually order a dirty martini because it's lower in calories than all that fruity stuff. I've always read that margaritas are the worse drinks calorie wise.
  • I gain between 3-6 pounds during the week before and during. It's mainly water weight and it typically comes off without even trying so I don't worry about it too much. And it's usually gone before I finish too. I'm always crazy hungry the week before so I just assume that my body needs more and I tend to lose my appetite…
  • I only track planned exercise as well. What is your daily calorie intake start at? You may need to change your settings and apply your active lifestyle to include those activities and bump your calories up. If this is unusual activities, I definitely wouldn't worry about it.
  • I would never encourage it. In fact, I keep telling people that they need to eat more! I upped my calories 200/day one week and I still lost 1.5lbs! Your body needs adjusted calorie intake. I may have a lower calorie day (though I never go that low!) and then a couple average days and 1 higher calorie day per week. I mix…
  • This is the stuff I buy every time I'm at the grocery without fail. Laughing Cow Light Cheese Spread (I like the french onion kind) Fat Free Half and Half Borden's Fat Free Sharp Cheddar Cheese Slices Hormel Natural Oven Roasted Turkey Arnold's Sandwich Thins Arnold's Everything Thin Bagels Thomas Multigrain Light English…
  • 1200 calories is definitely the minimum you should be consuming, especially if you're working out. If you don't eat enough calories, your body will store as much as it possibly can which will absolutely ruin your metabolism. Plus, there is no way you can get enough vitamins and minerals in your diet with such few calories.…
  • I've always seen that MFP is pretty straight on as long as your weight and other profile things are correct. My husband uses a heart rate monitor which is one a great way of measuring how many calories you burn. My treadmill always gives me more calories than MFP. Either way, we never eat all of our calories back from what…
  • I always snack on Light String Cheese. It's good protein and it keeps you full longer. That or roasted almonds. Emerald makes the best roasted almonds!
  • Your QUALITY will never be compromised by your calorie intake, just the quantity. Your body is putting your breastmilk as top priority so don't go too low or you won't be getting the nutrition that you need. Your body will deplete your vitamin and mineral stores in your body if you drop too much too quickly. If you notice…
