  • I feel for you! I did this a couple weeks ago to my FAVORITE pair of work pants. They are now hanging next to the heavy bag and stationary bike as motivation. That was what got me back to this website! Keep your head up and keep at it. It's hard work, but pretty soon those jeans will have been too big anyway :)
  • Moving comfort! I have a couple, based on what type of work out I'm doing. Vixen is my favorite for general working out/ mid impact. My Juno is amazing for high impact. Seriously- I could wear that thing on a roller coaster and the girls ain't going nowhere! D cup, btw.
  • Starbucks.com has a pretty nice nutrition breakdown. Not every drink and combo came up, but a grande non-fat with whip mocha would clock in at 290! You could order it iced for the same calorie count if you prefer cold drinks. :)
  • Another Wisconsinite here too! And one that loves making a run for the border as well ;) it is ok to still hit Taco Bell, just leave yourself some calories for the treat! I've trimmed my order to just one decadent item, then pairing it with healthier items at home to make the meal. Win-win. This also works for the Golden…
  • My short term goal: if I keep up with my yoga for a full month (no cheats!) I will buy myself the spendy mat I've been eyeing up. One week in and so far so good! My long term incentive goal is a pair of expensive skinny jeans. Once I hit that pant size I am looking for I will rock the heck out of them!
  • I close it out when I'm done eating for the night. It's a silly thing, but it helps me resist nighttime snacking. I know you can keep adding more, but the finality of that little button helps me resist the siren song of the potato chips and wine :)
  • Hi moms! I'm a full time working mom of one spunky 2 year old girl. She keeps me busy! I joined MFP a while ago but never followed through. I was able to drop all but the last ten pounds of baby weight. The pounds aren't really even my concern, it's where they are sitting! Pregnancy definitely took its toll on my tummy,…
  • Kale. Just can't do it. Also every dried fruit. Ewww. There was nothing wrong with those beautiful grapes, why petrify them into yucky raisins...
  • Ahhh wine, lovely delicious wine. So good but so many calories. I was a glass a night kind of girl, maybe two if the mood struck me. When I decided to take fitness more seriously I cut it out entirely. Cold turkey. I miss having something to sip on more than the wine itself, so I sub a glass of water with lemon or lime (in…

  • Hello all! I'm Kat, and I have severe seasonal allergies and suffer from OAS (oral allergy syndrome). While I am not technically "allergic" to anything, I do trigger a response to all tree nuts and several raw fruits and vegetables. I carry an epi pen to be safe. OAS has made eating healthy difficult at times. It is so…
  • I think I might fall into the "nerd" category, which suits me just fine. I love sci fi and fantasy, and prefer it in book form. For sci fi and spec fiction I read a lot of Bear, Heinlein, P.F. Hamilton, Simmons, and anything anything Stephenson I can get my hands on (in the middle of The Confusion right now). I'm thinking…
  • Definitely make sure you get fitted with good shoes. If the sales person you are working with can't tell you whether you pronate or supinate then do not buy shoes from them! Different shoes are better for different people. I do have to say I miss the days of picking out shoes by color and cuteness and not worrying about…
  • Cheers to this thread! There is a difference between not being attracted to a particular body type and straight up trashing it. We are all here with different end goals and different body image desires, no two people will want the exact same thing in the end. And while I don't aim to look like a body builder, serious props…
  • Hm, I totally agree. And it isn't just Lulu. I work for a rather large sporting goods retailer, and we carry several premium brands (no Lulu though, not sure why), and we carry almost NO plus sized clothing. The thing that drives me nuts is that when we do get a line or collection in that it sells out right away. Keep…
  • A nice bike, a Garmin so I don't get lost, and a lot of Under Armour ;)
  • Try eating a banana towards the end of the night. Or up your calcium. A big glass of milk helped me tremendously when I had night leg cramps while pregnant. They are not a fun way to wake up!
