nice job! I Love this web site...even though I may not know anyone here, I feel as I do. It has almost become #1 for me in place of my facebook! lol! The affirmation and motivation has been huge for me.

I sometimes have that issue if the toe area is a little more narrow. Go up a 1/2 size or more on your sneakers if they don't feel "floppy". It may just be that you need the extra room... Be sure the arch support is good too. I LOVE my Adidas sneakers!

I too, hava a glass top, I have had it for 4 years this month. It is not scratched or anything. I would have preferred gas too, but not my luck in this house...anyway, the only problem I have with it is how long the surface stays warm.

1200 is probably the lowest you should go...with that, if and when you exercise, you "earn" more calories... The best way for me, that I have found, is to consume good quality foods full of fiber, lean protein, and complex carbs. Keep the sodium low, and stay away from the simple sugars. And the ultimate no-no for me, is…

http://www.livestrong.com/article/295974-calories-in-1-apple/ apples are great for you! The average amount of 116 - 75 bothers you? They tend to fill me up for longer because of the fiber too. The natural sweet curbs my sweet tooth too.

I probably go well over my protein every day and well under for carbs...that is just me. My body does however, seem to respond well to that. If I get all my carbs and am low on protein, I tend to add a few ounces on the scale. Everyone is different...

welcome! I too thought I was eating pretty well. Once I actually started this site and started counting ALL my calories, I found I was seriously wrong! Now, I find I am more addicted to this site than facebook. But of course, I wouldn't put stuff like this on facebook either...

my first week was 2.5-3 lbs. But, I started working out more frequently and counting calories which I hadn't done before

ice it at night for a bit. I am doing some PT for my knee pain right now for a similiar sounding problem. I also started wearing Patella/Knee wrap, and that helps.

the shorts style for sure, less chance of the skirt riding up! That way, you are not pulling and tugging at it the whole time...un-attractive...

I keep Skippy Natural peanut butter in my desk drawer for just in case days. Add to celery or crackers. Left overs are huge with me. It is just my husband and I, so it is a lot easier to cook more. I always have fruit with me too. I may or may not eat it, but it is there. Triscuit are a favorite too, especially with…

i too go on the low side...but one other site I look at is http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.php

maybe something with shrimp in it? Or shrimp cocktail for a low-cal appetizer? That is what I am doing tonight with our guests... A nice salad with a whole mix of garden veggies. Or a veggie tray with the appetizers. Grilled fish - mahi mahi or tuna would be light weight. Fish can be broiled too! Maybe for dessert,…

tonight, it may be Ocean Spray "yellow" Grapefruit (100% juice) if anything...

http://ronzonismarttaste.newworldpasta.com/pasta_story.cfm I like the taste of this pasta, however, not lower in fat, has more fiber. And, the site has coupons you can print!

every calorie is counted...I haven't seen anything suggesting "free" foods. I too was doing the "free" food thing before this site, and wasn't losing any weight...I just started Monday, and I have lost 2 pounds!
-
I have not done any Zumba yet...the Y is also about 12 miles out of my way as well. I would like to try sometime maybe on a free day, as I guy I work with, his wife teaches it one night a week. I have been doing the Jillian Michaels "Banish Fat Boost Metabolism" 40 minute DVD. It is "easy" calisthenics, but done in a…

I learned today, that I can say "no thank you" to the chocolate chocolate cake doughnut the guys at work offer me. I don't "need" a diet Coke to get through the morning. 30 minutes on the treadmill or bike really isn't that long at all...I can go longer!

sounds kind of flu-like almost. Or, I agree with RaeNicoll, the protein and fiber avenue...
-
hey! I was wondering the same thing...I don't go to the gym, I work out at home, so it is important for me to have variety
-
I would say yes, especially if it is out of the norm. If you always do that, your body would be kind of used to it anyway...

woot-woot!! I too go in February, and want the doctor to be pleased. awesome job!

I hear all of your pain! At 40, it has been a rough past year...Oct 2009 had a tubal ligation, April 2010 had a Hydro-Ablation. While those really are simple procedures, my hormones have not decided what they want to do! I truely feel I am in the early stages of peri-menopause. My body does not want to let go of the…

cottage cheese and an apple are my favorites. Otherwise, maybe a slice or 2 of cheddar and a couple of Triscuits. Peanut butter on celary. just to name a few... good luck!

artificial sweeteners, or anything artificial, is in the end, obviously, not natural. Since taking Aspartame out of my diet, I have experienced less carbohydrate cravings for one. Two, the bloated feeling is actually gone. I too, don't have the achy joints in my hands. I don't necessarily believe everything I read, so I…
