  • The first thing you should do - make an amazing playlist! This is not a joke - great music will get you through your run. I would then set goals by the song - I would want to run so far by this song, etc. I trained for a half-marathon last year and used Hal Higidon's program, and I think he has one for shorter distances.…
  • Waist - 36 Hips - 41 Arms - 12 Thigh - 29 Day 3 - Done; but, I feel like Jillian Michaels is mocking me when at the end she tells me I am on my way to being shredded ... truly, I just feel DONE!
  • If you are looking for something sweet - I like the chocolate & oats fiber one bars. Quaker also makes 90 calorie granola bars which can be good. My grocery store also has 100 calorie packs for cookies - those always help with portion control. Also, I am a big fan of graham crackers, especially the cinnamon sugar.
  • I would like to join the group - I am actually on day 2 of the 30 day shred. I didn't take my measurements before - but I will do so tonight.
  • From the main screen of your touch (where there are the icons for calendar, calculator, etc), choose the Settings icon. Go to the Nike + Ipod screen; select Sensor; then click link new. That should link you up.
  • I keep a pack of sugar free gum with me at all times - chewing a piece will usually help. I also like raw carrots, almonds, and rice cakes. A friend of mine keeps 100 calorie packs of snacks in her car for portion control.
