I am following the Body for Life method and lift 3x weekly and do HIIT cardio 3x. I supplement that with some extra low resistance cardio (I have a spin bike). It was my introduction to weightlifting 10 years ago and I lost all the baby weight and reshaped my whole body. If only I had remembered the 'for Life'…

I got a lot of turnips from my CSA this fall and I cannot stand them. I keep trying but no.....anyway they gave us a lot of recipes including one for fritters and another at the bottom I am going to try next. http://wp.freshforkmarket.com/tag/turnips/

I use untoasted rolled oats cooked for 15 minutes with water and a tiny pinch of salt. I add a big scoop of chia seed and a tsp of chickpea miso paste. I love savory food and my acupuncturist recommended miso to aid in digestion. Untoasted oats have more nutrients and the chia is hydrophilic.

I recently read an article (NYTimes I think) that said there is very little science to back up the USRDA and that it is the type of salt you eat that matters. There are trace minerals in many sea salts that are beneficial to your health that are not present in processed salts. It also mentioned that there isn't a 'salt'…

Add 7 more on the bike and 1 on the eliptical. I think I need to modify my elliptical/running down to 15 since I will need to bike so much more!

I have never joined a group here but this sounds like some accountability (which I really need!). I would like to do 200 miles on the bike and 25 miles on the treadmill/elliptical. I already rode 7.5 today. Thanks for the inspiration
