Well I don't ride a real bike but I do need to get back in the saddle on my spin cycle. I would like to ride twice a week for 30 intense minutes of intervals. So that make my goal for September 80 miles and 4 hours!

I would start lifting some serious weights. You might not lose as much on the scale as a ton of cardio will get you, but you will see better results in size. A trainer is great, but there are great resources out there (NROWLFW, Body for Life, Strong Lifts, etc.) to get going with lifting.

Forget the scale...just buy some more smaller pants til you get to the size you want!

Congratulations!! It was a great moment for me this summer when I was able to open the size 10 tote of summer clothes and find some shorts that fit again!s

1. I am sick of yo-yoing and I was nearly as big as when I was pregnant. 2. I have used MFP twice befor to knock off part of the weight so I know that when I log I lose. I am nearly to half a year this time and the Fitbitnintegration really helps. 3. I think I have really tried to look at this as a habit, not a temporary…

What an amazing difference! I hate running as well although I have done a few tris in th past I am thinking of doing one that is SUP, mountain bike and trail run. Any way, congratulations and thank you for sharing, it really inspires me!

I love my fitbit one; I wear it on my bra strap so I can obsessively check it throughout the day. The only time I notice it recording stairs erroneously is when you drive uphill on a bumpy road - I get 3-5 flights on my way to the farmers market!! And when I accidentally brought it SUPing with me and stuck it in the…

Congratulations on achieving your goal! And all your other successes in life!

I can reach all the way around my leg shaving in the shower again. I hadn't realized I had lost flexibility AND that my thigh was so huge until recently!
-
Great start! I hope the next 25 leave as easily as the first!!

Are you lifting weights? Your shoulders are so much more defined and bustline elevated!
-
WOW! Amazing difference in such a short time!

I am 5'4" and stuck between 160-162 since April 28th. I do 30DS and ran a 5k for the first time in years on May 5th. I totally feel your frustration - I'm trying to clean up my eating a little and make sure I get my water in, but after a lot of reading and research I upped my calories to 1950 on Friday. It is too soon to…

Great job! Every week at Yoga the instructor encourages us to find a little more space and that is so motivating when I can! Today I was in a low lunge twist and could actually see my opposit foot behind me. I couldn't even hold that pose 5 months ago....

Luna chocolate mint bars (170 cals). Menchie's no sugar nonfat yoghurt topped with a pile of fresh berries (180 cals). If it ever gets to be summer I eat whole fruit Popsicles. Meringues are a lot of sweet for not too many calories. I make my own popcorn with 1 T oil and 1/4 cup popcorn for 290 cals to satisfy salty…

It's not just you!! I had to buy a new sports bra today and trying to find a 36DD underwire is hard ( down from 40/42 D). But wait you say, that's not down a size! The fat has migrated and they are BIGGER! I was near tears ith frustration - jumping jacks and buttkicks in 30 DS are more painful than the squats and lunges. I…

Thanks for th review! I was feeling regret that i didn't wait to get the flex especially since I had so many troubles with the first fitbit (they sent a new one!).

I have a Fitbit too and I just ignore its calorie suggestions. Fitbit does not allow you to set it to eat back your exercise calories and MFP does. Although FitBit has a dashboard and a calorie tracking mechanism, it is not as comprehensive as MFP; it is excellent at tracking miles, flights, etc. My personal experience is…

Great job! I always lose fast for a few weeks followed by flat weeks. It is frustrating but I try to visualize my body rearranging itself inside. First it is pulling the fat out of the muscle (picture steak) then flushing it out. Transforming fat into muscle, etc. There is a lot of work to be done inside before the results…

Skip the chains and find a local store. You might pay a little more but the service a knowledgeable salesperson will add is worth it. The chains employ retail workers - not specialists. I just bought a new pair of shoes as a reward for finishing my first 5K in years (and I used C25K back when it was just a written plan to…

Excellent job! You seem to have the overcome the obstacles I struggle with too - motivation and continuity!! I set an initial goal of 33 pounds to lose and I am 2/3 of the way there since Dec 31 (figured I 'd skip new year eve binge and start a day early). I am learning that I do not need to get it off fast as much as make…

I walk to Menchies almost every week. It is 4 miles round trip and then I am guiltless about the ~250 calories for a cup of frozen yogurt topped with berries I eat. Alternatively, there is a wine store with a tasting patio next to Menchies I have tried out as well ( not on the same day!). And well earned treats seem to…

What a beautiful cut on that dress. You are going to be gorgeous at your wedding!!

My son got in trouble in pre-school for using the word 'uvula' for show n' tell. I had to define it for the teacher. Bad parents....

So awesome!! I leave for Costa Rica on the 23rd for two weeks of nothing but surfing. I am determined to get to the outside on my own and really catching waves instead if the second break!

Awesome job! I am running a 5K on 5/5 for the first time in years. I have been walking a lot and hit 15,000 steps today. Now I just need to break into a run!
