Easy walk with the dogs today, and my body is thanking me, (along with the now happy dogs, of course). 4.24 miles walked, mtd 48.48

I used to carry a pack, but my ride is heavy enough so I've gotten used to carrying water bottles, some essentials in my jersey pockets and I do have a seat pouch with a spare tube, co2 and such. I don't own a pistol so that is not an option, nor would I trust myself to carry it on my person while riding...eek! I found a…

I decided to do one more long ride before going back to the grind on Mon. 28.71 miles rode with hub, 44.24 mtd. I'm gonna sleep well tonight with a little help from my friend, advil! http://connect.garmin.com:80/activity/embed/424154647

Thanks verde for providing the link. Some good tips in there that i haven't heard and some good reminders. I think I've been preoccupied lately with the thought of big cats out there since a couple of riders have mentioned them. I try to do my part of being a conscientious rider, no head phones so I can hear, telling my SO…

Truly amazing accomplishment!! Thank you for sharing your story...totally inspiring!!

I got invited to a big ladies group ride with lots of gabbing, photo ops, impromptu bike games and rest stops aka, catch-your- breath-stops. 15.52 miles mountain biked today in the beautiful 60-70f weather with wonderful company. What more could a gal ask for! Happy New Year @ss movers!
-
The weather has been great, so I'm going to go for 230 miles this month! If it snows, I can always get miles in on the trainer! Happy New Years everyone!
-
Wonderful miles everyone! I love this supportive group, and want to thank Dave, dinos, bluiz13 and JTH11706 for keep tabs on all of us!!!:drinker: Today I mountain biked with my hub 16.48 miles, and felt like I kicked my own @ss! Closing out the last miles of 2013 with 217.76. Happy New 2014!!

 I hear ya! I understand the need to make cycling clothing so that it doesn't flap, but why oh why does it need to cut off my circulation on my limbs or show my every contour! I'm definitely a club/recreational fit gal!

I really don't know the difference, but I do love the xc mountain bike. I imagine that just might change when I get older, and don't want to fall down from trying to ride the technical sections of the single track or get hurt! I especially like the safety away from moving vehicles, quiet solitude from riding out in the…

Well I survived the wood cutting manual labor, but I had to take yesterday off, since it hurt to move:sad: Much better today, despite my fall off a rock while trying to ride up it on my bike. I might not attempt that section for a while...:noway: All in all a great day with the gal pals and rode 11.28 miles this morning!…

4.25 mile run with the dogs today this morning, before a dreaded day of firewood cutting.:grumble: Hopefully I won't be too sore tomorrow to add more miles in...the month is coming to an end soon and I haven't met my goal...eek!

7 miles mountain biked today at Simpson and although it was a short ride, it was a lung burner! Haven't had my lungs burn for some time...I kinda liked it, in that weird way. 186.49 total.

Thank you for sharing your incredible story, and all that you have endured! :flowerforyou: You have persevered through the toughest times, and I hope all the best for you. Keep up the great work as it clearly shows your amazing progress and your willpower for thriving!

I've been logging for 8 months and I imagine that I'll be logging for a long time more. With my appetite and history of eating, it would be too easy to rebound without logging. I think Mfp makes it fairly easy, and so it's not really a chore for me compared to other counting sites I've used.

Santa was great to me! I got a couple new pairs of biking socks, a new bike jersey and some styling purple riding shorts. I also received a iPod shuffle so I can listen to tunes when I'm on the trainer!

It felt great to get outside today after being indoors all day yesterday....refreshing. Rode with the so 7.33 miles, and then took the dogs out for a separate slow ride for 2.20 miles. 9.53 ridden today on my bike, mtd 179.59.

Got out the door for a 9.21 mile bike ride, and although it wasn't the greatest ride, I am glad I went! Much to my surprise I did see two other runners and riders on the trail, as I don't usually see that many folks. I love to see other peeps exercising! Mtd, 169.96...I've got this! Merry Christmas @ss movers!
-
Thanks for sharing. I told my so about this, since he has the premium and would enjoy a good thrashing from the sufferfest video's!
-
Fantastic transformation!! Congrats on your hardwork and achievements!
-
My kind of Christmas card too! Merry Christmas and here's to a fantastic 2014!:drinker:

Thanks Dave, my bike is better, but wow are these tires heavier...I've noticed! Or maybe it's all the mud stuck in between the tread:tongue: In any case, I rode 10.18 light miles today, and cut my ride short since I was famished! Note to self...eat more before a ride to fuel me through! Mtd, 160.75

"What is often called lack of motivation is actually lack of discipline and lack of habit. I’ve posted about discipline and habit before – those entries lack the sexy headlines such as “1 weird trick to lose belly fat” and often do not get more than the cursory glance. And that’s unfortunate because it is discipline and…

23 miles on foot is amazing to me! Glad to hear you had beautiful weather for your last training run. You'll do great!! I rode 9.52 miles today with new tires and front brake pads on my bike, and what a difference as far as my back tire not giving way on turns. I also rested yesterday, and that little bit of rest made a…
