Is drooling a thought? Does that count?

I get up at 5am, leave the house by 5:30, commute an hour, and am in the gym from 6:30 - 8. For me, it helps to have little treats I can look forward to. Like, I have expensive, awesome shower gel which I only let myself use at the gym. I also have these mint chocolate protein bars which I LOVE, but I only get one if I've…

No, it wasn't a personal failing. I've done a lot of reflecting on where my old eating habits came from, and I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of the coping mechanisms I was using. It was a strategy I used to look after my emotional well-being, but it had other effects that weren't very positive for me (weight…

Totally unnecessary, not to mention completely awful. D:

You don't have to exercise to lose weight. If it seems unrealistic for you right now, you can absolutely put it off until you're feeling better about it. Weight loss is about calories, so as long as you're burning off more than you're eating, you will lose weight. I started with 200 lbs to lose as well. In the beginning, I…

I get that it's a hard situation, but that's not an excuse to treat the spouse back home like crap. Deployment still isn't an excuse to make your spouse an emotional punching bag. It's not a case of not being able to handle the commitment, it's a case of being willing to subvert yourself or not.

You need a different therapist to help you sort out what's going on in your head. The Adderall is masking the problem - like breaking your leg and taking painkillers to fix it.

Challenge her to a foot race, and then when she starts running, trip her and laugh.

Well, that's not really surprising. Calorie deficit is how weight loss happens. But just like fat doesn't always equal unhealthy, thin does always equal healthy. He lost weight, but I doubt his overall health improved.

Eating. Shut up, there's competitive eaters and I totally broke a sweat. I'm counting it.

Sounds like a good day to me. Mmmmmm...

I'm a huge emotional eater, and lately I've been eating my feelings like it's my job (my feelings want me to eat cake, mainly). I feel like I'm finally starting to get a handle on things again. What has helped me, is going back to logging what I eat, to be really mindful of the calories I'm consuming. I also reason with…

I burn about 10 calories a minute at my maximum, so 20 minutes for 200 calories. Depending on what I'm doing, it's probably more likely to take me around 25 minutes +.

Anger is a tough emotion for me. I find that anger generally leads to fear and guilt for me. Drawing and writing help me process this and come to terms with my feelings in a healthy way. Depending on what the anger is in response to, or what it brings up for me, relaxation and visualisation can help. I'm endeavouring to do…

Lately it's "This S--- Will F--- You Up" by Combichrist.

Ohhh, my pet peeve! Coke doesn't have fat in it! Nutella, you're wrong there. Cream eggs, wrong again. Full fat milk > skim. For me - mayo is not worth the calories. Also, generally any "junk food" that has been healthified - like, low calorie cake or whatever. The calories aren't generally that much lower, but it tastes…

Lordy.

Sounds like you just had a terrible instructor. Life is too short to suffer through awful workout classes. There are plenty of classes and instructors out there to choose from! :)

I bet you're a hoot at parties.

Research has proven that nothing you eat on your birthday actually contains calories.

"Eating disorder" doesn't necessarily translate to "anorexia".

On the banana ice cream thing - You can do that with any frozen fruit! I love blending frozen berries to create a sort of sorbet. Also, I find that frozen banana slices are amazing on their own! They have that sort of chewy texture that really, really frozen ice cream gets. Something else I like are meringue nests (51…

400 is more accurate, but MFP is notorious for overestimating, so I'd even cut that down a little bit. 700-800 is way too high. It's really unlikely burned that much, especially if you were able to read a magazine while working out.

I didn't divert anything. I responded to one point you made, which I feel quite passionate about - that weight is complex and about more than liking food. I also responded to the topic you brought up.

I disagree. A lot of people enjoy food - thin people included. Enjoying food doesn't necessarily equate to needing to lose weight, so I'm not quite sure where you were going with that. Weight is a lot more complicated than that. I'm not sure I necessarily have a "trigger food". I avoid mayonnaise because I can't really…

Well, you won't lose weight eating at maintenance. If you were maintaining on 2400, you've got it wrong - that's your maintenance. You'll lose weight eating fewer than whatever your maintenance level is.

No, I'm bothered more by judgemental d-bags who can't get over themselves long enough for a single gym session. But that's just my opinion. That, and people who don't wipe down the machines after using them. Oh, and also the women who pile all their stuff into a changing stall and THEN go have a shower.

That "before" pic is me at my absolute highest weight ever - about 30 lbs up from my MFP starting weight. So about 225 lbs more than I weigh now. You can do this, girlie!
