I'm not eating back my exercise calories (or even tracking exercise here). I am supposed to have one cheat meal every six days to account for my three days of running and three days of calisthenics. I've earned two so far, and my cheat "meals" actually turn into cheat "days". I'll need to tidy those up if I start…

I get so frustrated with this sometimes. The worst is when I take the time to scan a bar code and it's still wrong. In cases of conflicting numbers, my "final answer" comes from the USDA site. http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ And I do try to correct the wrong entries when I can.

So far I can't have "cheat days" anymore :laugh: I stick with cheat meals. I'm trying to stick to being 90% good, which equates to about 9 cheat meals for the month. I have 1 left...

That little bunch of dots is Jupiter and three of her moons as seen through binoculars. I saw it for the first time a couple years ago. At first I thought my binocs were dirty, but when I realized what I was looking at...just, woah. I hadn't felt that small and overwhelmed in a long time.

You'll get no slack from me for diet soda--I drink it like I'm supposed to drink water! Lean Cuisine on the other hand, this ingredient list: And it tastes nasty compared to an easier to prepare chicken dish. BUT, if you like them, they sure make it easy to keep track of calories!

Find yummy recipes with veggies and cook them. Try a variety...I find it hard to believe you hate all veggies. I make my own salsa from time to time. There's a yummy mango salsa I make for fish tacos: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/mango-salsa/ OMG so good!!!

Try a couch to 5K program. There's several apps and websites to help you along. If you only have 20 minutes, just do as much as you can and see if it sticks. The program starts out at 28 minutes and at the end is 40 minutes. Get a turkey this year?

Since you're not running, getting running shoes seems to be a waste of time and money. Sure, running shoes will fit like a glove and are comfortable, but they're overkill if your cardio is an elliptical. If you're cardio is higher impact, you will benefit from a running shoe. Food. I can't live without it, and love 99% of it. I love cooking it as much as eating it, and trying new things out, and enjoying the company of people with it. And it makes me fat.

Didn't we just have this talk? I'm cooking most of my own food, and not counting on restaurants to be accurate, even when they provide calories. When I do eat at restaurants (like today for lunch) I do my best to approximate and then add a bit for good measure. You can't legislate willpower. We need the government doing…
